The Russian president's aircraft touched down in the Finnish capital, Helsinki, yesterday ahead of his historic meeting with Donald Trump, who also boasts his own private jet - Air Force One.

Personally I think AF1 was a step down from Trumps personal plane. It’s just that AF1 has more security than the private plane.

Willow Run B-24s.
The long hanger at Willow Run, Michigan has a 90 degree turn in it so Henry Ford would not have to pay taxes in the next county. That short end is being saved and restored today as a museum. The big hanger doors are still operational after all these years.
This is one of the best and most informative clips about a great American accomplishment, thanks to the Ford Motor Company during WWII.

Can’t get to your vid. But I have actually been to Willow Run (when my dad was in the military he flew there into their 60’s). And I drove by on I-94 in March.

Could be he has one on his own plane; he’s in to gilding, and a lot of the plumbing fixtures are gold plated. I hate that look of wretched excess that’s in the NY apartment, but each to his own.
And IIRC, Trump is having AF1 painted red, white and blue.
I’ve been to the bathroom in the D.C. Trump Hotel - I remember a lot of gold, probably not the toilet seat...
You can put all the gold fixtures, fancy wood and nice leather in you want, but it still is a Ilyushin Il-96. I suppose you could also gold plate a Yugo. Although the plane is a relatively recent design, it doesn’t have nearly the safety pedigree that a Boeing airplane has.
My understanding is his NY apartment has that opulently decorated floor for photos and for entertaining guests, but the the other floors are decorated more contemporaneously.
