At a recent speech in South Africa, former President Barack Obama criticized wealth inequality, saying those who have more money should share their earnings with the less fortunate.
“Right now, I’m actually surprised by how much money I got,” Obama said of the more than $20 million he earned between 2005 and 2016.
Obama then chided wealthy individuals for excess, saying, “There’s only so much you can eat. There’s only so big a house you can have. There’s only so many nice trips you can take. I mean, it’s enough.”
“We’re going to have to worry about economics if we want to get democracy back on track,” Obama continued “We’re going to have to consider new ways of thinking about these problems, like a universal income, review of our workweek, how we retrain our young people, how we make everybody an entrepreneur at some level.”
Obama continued on income inequality, saying, “History shows that societies which tolerate vast differences in wealth feed resentments and reduce solidarity and actually grow more slowly. And when economic power is concentrated in the hands of the few, history also shows that political power is sure to follow and that dynamic eats away at democracy.” After the speech calling for rich people to get smaller houses, Obama traveled back to America and to his $8.1 million eight-bedroom, nine-and-a-half bathroom mansion in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the world.

To build a big house really isn’t that much more expensive than building a modest house in a prime area.
$1 million lot + $300,000 modest house = $1.3 million
$1 million lot + $600,000 large house = $1.6 million
The houses aren’t going to get smaller just because Obama thinks rich people should live in smaller houses.
In the past big houses of the rich got converted into big rooming houses for immigrants and people starting out, but this is no longer legally possible in most areas.
All of his documents will be sequestered until after both Barack and Michelle are dead in order to avoid criminal prosecution.
The “wealthy,” AKA hard-working successful people, create an endless amount of jobs and give away countless billions to charity.
Who is this commie Kenyan to tell them “you have enough money?” Who is he to tell other people how to spend what THEY earn?
Wish he would stay in South Africa.
The only way anyone can become a non-person without a past, without a paper trail, is by goverenmental collusion at the highest levels. How can someone go though every level of education and yet no one remembers Obama until he gets to Harvard? No friends, no teachers, no mentors, a complete zero.

If you've got more than $20 million -- you didn't earn that. Somebody else made that happen.
BO’s thought process works so well in Cuba and Venezuela: all that solidarity, democracy and economic growth.
Why are people struggling?
Mainly because of housing costs.
Why is there a problem with housing costs?
Because of commuting time.
In the DC area it is easy to spend about 45 minutes commuting each way.
Imagine a well-educated person who makes $100,000/year in DC.
That 45 minutes is worth $38 one-way or $76 each work day.
To reduce the time wasted in commuting, that well-educated person might be willing to pay a $75/day housing cost premium. And he/she might be married to a like-minded person. Together they might be willing to pay $150/day not to commute long distance.
Close-in properties become very expensive.
That $150/day in close-in value is more than even a person earning $15/hour or $120/day can pay.
Single people eventually will get priced out of top metropolitan areas.
Even two people earning $15/hour will struggle.
Indeed, and Trump needs to stop this nonsense and go after he Clinton crime syndicate, and the obama, Jarrett, Rice Comey deep state
How did the fund raising money end up in BO’s hands? When he was fund raising for just his re-election campaign or was it also for when he raised money for the dem party did that give him license for him to personally take a cut?
When they redecorated the Oval Office, I thought it looked as ordinary as a UC safe space room.
That is too complicated give it to Ocascio Lopez to redistribute for her universal income scheme.
Guessing he might have skimmed off some of the billions on that pallet to Iran.
Those DC swamp dwellers would have their time better served listening to RUsh/ Hannity and Levin during their long commutes. That would set them right.
