Tim Allen’s ‘Last Man Standing’ mocks network change in new teaser

In a new teaser for the return of Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing,” the sitcom’s stars make a not-so-subtle reference to the show’s move from ABC to Fox.

“Look at that, look, it’s a fox,” Nancy Travis, who plays Allen’s wife on the show, says as the couple sits around a campfire in a promo that was released on Tuesday.

Allen’s Mike Baxter responds, “What is it?”

“Yeah a fox,” Travis’ Vanessa Baxter responds.

The TV wife repeats the word “fox” until Allen says, “I know somebody’s gonna be happy you said that three times.”

Good for Fox in picking up a show with the last vestiges of conservative points of view. That said, I just do not find the show funny. I guess Home Improvement spoiled me.

Wish that Molly Ephraim was returning as Mandy. But that is her decision. Hoping whoever replaces her will be good too.

Kaitlyn Dever has not signed a contract yet due to other obligations but her absence can be explained by her being at the Air Force Academy.

Wife and I agree. LMS is too predictable to be really funny. I’m glad the show exists but don’t enjoy it half as much as Home Improvement.

I watch it nightly on reruns. I like the fact that it doesn’t make the male star (Tim’s character) an idiot in constant need of being helped, fixed or corrected by kids or a smarter wife. Good show that I’ll be watching again when it returns.
