I’ve seen young deer, but never one quite that young. Were its legs alright, or is that just how they are when first born?
I live out in the Texas Hill Country between San Antonio and Blanco. This has been a very productive season for the deer population ... newborn fawns all over the place. It is not uncommon to see a small mound of spotty brown beside the road or ditch and it sometimes takes a minute to realize that it is a new fawn. The one in the video is very typical, probably born that day.
