Same-sex marriage in the United States is not improving the health of gays and lesbians, according to a study by the National Bureau of Economic Research, an American think-tank.
In their paper, Effects of Access to Legal Same-Sex Marriage on Marriage and Health: Evidence from BRFSS, the researchers say that the legalization of same-sex marriage has improved access to healthcare for gays and lesbians.
Even with that improved healthcare access, though, those in same-sex marriages did not see any sort of bump up in their health, they concluded.
Health indicators for lesbians in these legally-recognized marriages did not suggest they are any healthier than non-married lesbians.
Gay men in these marriages also showed no improvement in their health.
Despite the finding that there was no improvement to the self-reported health of gay men in same-sex marriages, the studys authors still concluded by suggesting those who oppose homosexual marriage are responsible for the negative health outcomes of gay men.

Dunno about lesbians, but many male homosexuals apparently continue on with their frenetic random “hookups” after “marriage”.
At work, we had one gay co-worker who was “engaged”. Day after day, he would wander over at lunch, he would gush all about how great is fiancé was. This went on for a few months. It ended abruptly after his fiancé put him in the hospital and my co-worker had to get a restraining order to keep his fiancé out of his house. LOL.
Not that similar things don’t occasionally happen to hetro couples — they do. But interesting that this happened in a sample size of 1.
Several studies of homosexual men found they’re pretty much incapable of “monogamy”, making their marriages a lie.
In several studies, EVERY homosexual male couple together more than 5 years had institutionalized infidelity, rules for cheating on their “spouse”.
Just like insisting that a square is a circle doesn’t facilitate putting the square peg into the round hole.
I do not get how having “gay marriage” gave any “gay” person more access to health care than they had before; other than the singular possibility that a “gay” person was unemployed and could ger covered as a “spouse” on their employed partner’s employee health insurance. Oh wait, that was already true with some organizations (the auto indsutry & most of the pic tech companies & some non-profits), voluntarily wtih nothing but an affidavit attesting to the partnership of the couple, and under law in most states that had “civil partnership” laws. So, really “hay marriage” was NOT more “necessary” than mere expandion of “civil partnerships”. Ah, but without “gay marriage” the social mandate of forced acceptance as a “married couple” could not invade academia and K-12 school curriculums, or the language, so that men can have “husbands” and women can have “wives”. Yes, it wss the social-war demands, NOT protecting legal necessities that “gay marriage” was required.
Their proof? That these men now have more access to insurance, as if access to insurance tracks health.
Maybe they need it more because of their POOR health.
That’s an average of one new one each month of an adult life. (For over 1,000)
