A waitress required 15 stitches after she was attacked by four women she served Tuesday night at a Henry County Applebee’s.
The women beat and punched the waitress and stabbed her in the forearm with a steak knife, McDonough police Maj. Kyle Helgerson told AJC.com. They allegedly took her tips before they skipped out on a $62.57 bill.
Helgerson said it all started when the women were having dinner at the Industrial Boulevard location in McDonough, and one of the diners was sitting with her leg out in an aisle.
“The waitress had brushed up against her leg,” Helgerson said. “There was an initial conversation about that.”
The waitress, who is in her 20s, reportedly apologized to the woman, claiming it was an accident. After the table complained about not receiving their food, the waitress went to the kitchen to retrieve it, according to a police report.
“She came back a second time to serve them with food or drinks and brushed up against (the woman) again,” Helgerson said. “That infuriated the suspect.”

When their meals were late, they attacked the evil waitress.
I wonder when a tip becomes the property of the server? It seems it wouldn’t belong to the server until the patron leaves the table and maybe the restaurant.
Regardless of the tip, I think it’s still robbery in this case because they didn’t pay for the meal.
And if they have been convicted of any previous felony, it’s life without parole.
Georgia takes armed robbery very seriously.
And they couldn’t even fill their gas tank with what they stole.
They’re certainly an assault on gravity!
They didn’t provide a picture of the waitress, so we don’t know if they had a good reason to be ticked about brushed on the leg. Just kidding.

Good one. If these women were on Guam I might agree with Hank Johnson it would tip over.
I read it to mean that they had stolen the tips she had already collected from other patrons.
Add in: inoffensive, accidental touching leads to “disrespecting”.
It wasn’t their tip, it was the tips she had earned that night from other patrons. Don’t you know anything (sarc) - Negresses don’t tip! It’s beneath their dignity. Waitstaff should tip them for the privilege of waiting on them.
