Most everyone knows the famous case of Kate Steinle, killed by an illegal alien who should have been deported and should never have been here but for San Francisco is a sanctuary city. And on top of the horror of her death, the outrageous lack of justice in the decision that let the killer off with just a gun charge.

But unfortunately that’s not the only case, there are so many more, as the Angel families have demonstrated.

An illegal immigrant from Guatemala avoided jail after being convicted of negligent driving for hitting and killing an FBI agent and a fire marshal standing on the side of a highway.

Roberto Garza Palacios, 28, who overstayed his visa, was instead ordered to pay a $280 fine for killing Deputy Chief State Fire Marshal Sander Cohen and FBI Special Agent Carlos Wolff in December, the Washington Post reported.

Adding insult to injury, the illegal immigrant did not even have to appear in court.

Wolff, an FBI agent, had crashed his car into a concrete median after reaching for his cellphone and becoming distracted while driving south on I-270, a Maryland State Police crash investigation later determined. Cohen, an arson investigator who was passing by, had pulled over to help and put on his hazard lights to warn other drivers.

Garza Palacios drove up on the scene from behind and told investigators he could not swerve right, because cars were in that lane, so he went left, not seeing the two men.

Cohen’s father, Neil Cohen is furious with the punishment meted out to Garza Palacios. “Because the person who caused the accident really didn’t get punished, it doesn’t feel like there’s closure,” he said.

And not only that, Garza Palacios never should have even been here. His visa expired in 2009 and he had a prior criminal record for driving while impaired. He also served four months for smashing windows on 16 cars and lighting a sofa on fire.

Neil Cohen told NBC, “The truth is that there are people who shouldn’t be here.”

Will they deport him now? That’s not clear, but he was taken into custody by ICE and charged for overstaying.

Yes, the FBI agent caused the crash. He was fooling with his cellphone which caused the initial accident. Unfortunately a Good Samaritan got killed as well. What puzzles me is how they got hit on the shoulder if (1) they pulled their cars to the side and (2) the Good Samaritan had stopped and put on flashers to warn other motorists. Were they not entirely on the shoulder and thus were still blocking the left lane? Was there apparently enough room left on the shoulder that Palacios, the driver who hit them, thought he could get around on the shoulder?

The Good Samaritan had time to stop, put on his flashers, move his car to the side of the road, and exit his car to assist the FBI guy. All this happened before Palacios came up from behind and struck them. Clearly Palacios was driving too fast and was unable to stop, despite the fact that at least one car ahead of him (the Good Samaritan's) had already stopped, so letting him off with a slap on the wrist seems odd.

Southbound I-270 at Falls Road has two roadways. From right to left: there is a two lane "local" 270, with shoulders, for all the exit and entrance traffic. Then there is a jersey wall barrier, across which is the through traffic, four lanes southbound with shoulders on both sides. Including the shoulders, that's ten lanes southbound. Then there's another jersey wall, across which are the northbound lanes. The two men who were killed were hit hard enough to be thrown over this barrier into the northbound lanes, where one of them was struck again.

This, by the way, is the regularly gridlocked road to which MD is proposing to add another lane in each direction to reduce congestion. Hahahahahahahahahaha. Of course, 270 dwindles to two lanes in each direction (with shoulders) another 10 or more miles north, when you get north of Germantown. MD could widen this northern section all the way up to Frederick in order to flush even more traffic into the rush hour gridlock that is a permanent rush hour condition from Rockville south. Hahahahahahahaha.

Anyhow, the two guys who were killed apparently ignored Rule of Survival #1 and #2 when disabled on a busy interstate: (1) don't leave your car until the police arrive on the scene; just get to the side and wait; and (2) if you must exit your vehicle, keep your car between the oncoming traffic and yourself. Otherwise you are liable to end up as a pancake.

Drugs or alcohol wasn't involved, which makes this an unusual illegal alien accident (especially because Palacios' record includes a prior DUI). I wonder if he was on his cellphone as well. That's a common reason people fail to stop in time. Or he was speeding. But he should have been cited for either of those factors.

Don’t get mad at me, but here goes.

We on the right can only get so far because we are hampered,inhibited and held back by playing by the rules and obeying the law.

Rush in the 1990s used to have callers who innocently said “Well I’m going to start voting again and do what I can....” Rush would say: “Oh, yeah,well a lot of good that’ll do you. No one is going to do anything just because we elect them.”

Last week (Thurs??), Michael Savage for the second time I happened to listen, said the Civil War is fast approaching ( his old book Stop the Coming Civil War and his partially written one on frantic Dem behavior in 2018).

Then he once again said” But all of you people, you conservatives never would really do anything, would you? You talk big on the internet but really you wouldn’t actually act, would you, because you all obey the law and never hurt people physically.”

Was he jeering at us? He sometimes insults his audience and makes a bleating “baaah, baaah” sheep imitation to mock us for going along with Trump even if he doesn’t act to preserve African animals, for example.

Rude and nasty to his bread and butter audience. Other nights he in on fire about trashy socialists and leftist media who would take away our chance to ever vote them back out if elected.

Savage was physically roughed up (age 74) and his little dog Teddy kicked (or “shoved” by a foot) at an outdoor seating area of a San Francisco restaurant for being identified as a conservative and Trump supporter by leftists who ambushed him.

I am not here advocating or promoting any form of physical violence.

I am just saying we obey the law and the Dems and the alien who killed Kate Steinle do not. True since history began. I am trying so hard to obey God’s laws in the Holy Scriptures. I await the fruition of His Plan and accept His Plan.
