Jacob Goldberg, who is still inside the cave rescue site, has this footage of divers arriving at the cave site, to be mobbed by reporters.
Reporters and all those not directly involved in the rescue operation have been banned from entering the site, and those already inside have been give until 9am to clear out.

Yes baby Jessica was a miracle..Many years ago in Nebraska there was another little girl named Kathy Fiscus who fell in a well. It went for days but she didn’t make it. Today with better equipment and communication she may have been saved. Prayers for all of the boys, coach and rescuers.

He wasn’t thinking of a sub at first — more of a flexible tube air lock. He sent a couple of top engineers there to assess the situation. The sub would have to be custom-made for the task. 25 hours would be quite amazing!

Quite similar to the diagram, upthread. Thanks for that link.
On a twitter site with a diagram they said 3 hours of underwater swimming! And it looked like three major flooded areas to go through. I’m guessing at least one of those would require changing a tank out - underwater??!!
I’m not trained, but went scuba diving once. It was fine - due to my ignorance no doubt! Plus - if I got into trouble all I had to do was swim up 20 feet or whatever to all the air in the world. I can’t imagine doing it for the first time in the dark, not being a swimmer, and then having to change tanks.
Dear God - give those kid’s the courage and will and calmness that they will need.

Some bad news from the #ThamLuang rescue site. A vehicle carrying rescue workers has crashed, badly injuring one person. In addition it has just started to rain heavily. Which is very bad news for the trapped boys #Thailand

Two Thai Navy doctors have volunteered to be locked up inside the cave [potentially for months if the caves flood again] a huge sacrifice. live updates https://t.co/nF95CimIdC— The Guardian (@guardian) July 3, 2018

Now that the media has been ejected from the #ThamLuang site, expect the rumour mill to go into overdrive. Heres the first rumour that has been denied: It is NOT confirmed they are already bringing out the first four.
Interesting Maps below. Maybe someone can post these images.

US Navy Seals have arrived. They practiced at another location for this. Since SEALS don’t like to be photographed, the media has been sent back to a controlled location.
I read that and was stunned that it could be MONTHS. Unimaginable.
Meanwhile, just read the coach was once a monk and spent many hours meditating in this cave. He said this will help him in keeping the boys calm.
From The Guardian....
Officials have cleared the site and medics and divers are arriving in signs that rescue of 12 trapped boys from the Tham Luang cave network may begin shortly
Full report: authorities say three to four-day window to free boys
Here is a youtube vid that shows how dangerous the conditions of the Thai cave and rescue challenges are.....an inside look....

I've also been scuba diving once, lol. This rescue is definitely complicated enough, but at least there will be areas of above water swimming and three or four dry areas where they could take a break. But three hours of underwater swimming is treacherous in murky water.
But these boys are soccer players and, er, cave explorers, so they have done physically demanding things in their young lives and that is a reason for optimism. They're not a bunch of couch potatoes and computer gamers who live indoors all the time.
Was this in Beatrice, 1949? Until Jessica, failed to realize the number of abandoned water wells that had been found across this country. They seem to be any and everywhere. Searching google with the info you gave, there were several instances in years past. Remember the old well on great grandmothers farm. In childhood years there were two places we were forbidden to play: her old storm cellar and near the old water well.

Rescue crews: the 12 boys + coach each have a dive mask connecting with an air line to their escort/diver. The diver has the oxygen tank/regulator. So, the boys are not SCUBAing, per se. Also, each boy will have physical contact with their rescuer throughout. #CaveRescue
