An activist author ignited a social media firestorm on Thursday after saying she was left very confused seeing a black man with a pro-NRA and Tea Party bumper-sticker on his car.
Kimberley Johnson, a feminist contributor to HuffPost and the spokeswoman for the national advocacy group We Are Woman, was slammed for questioning why a black person would not embrace progressive politics.
Out on the road the other day I saw an affluent black man driving a BMW with two bumper-stickers. One was pro-NRA and the other one was a Tea Party sticker that read, Don't tread on me, she wrote in a now-deleted tweet. This left me very confused.
She was immediately condemned, with most social media users accusing her of racism. It's not confusing to people who don't judge others based on their skin tone. You should try it, wrote user.
One of the most racist things ever are people who think black people MUST all think alike and vote for the same party, tweeted journalist Jason Howerton

Ha! He was the first person I thought of!
Thanks for the ping, Red. Cool article.
Trump is the new Underground Railroad to freedonm.
#Walk Away
You didn't know that? The Tea Party adopted the Gadsden flag early on.
I still fly one on the rear window of my truck.

Aren;t they all!
You ARE "free to wonder".
So don't be surprised when people respond to provide you perspective, that you may "wonder" no more.
Lol I’d pay to see that! :)
I’ve been trying to gauge what is going on within black families considering the number of black people, seemingly, walking away from the Democrat plantation. I’d appreciate your perspective.
OMG. Trigger alert. She saw a black man off the progressive plantation. At least she did not call the police.
I come from a large family with lots of voting age adults, 95% of whom vote Democrat. Myself and a few of my nephews are unabashed Normals, and don't mind telling anyone who asks.
As to the rest, it's hard to gauge how they're leaning right now, as we all try very hard to steer clear of politics. If some of my Dem family members are thinking of jumping the fence, they're not going to tell me (of all people) right away. I think they'd be too embarrassed to admit how wrong they've been their whole lives.
Good news, though, I did recover my eldest son to the Normal side in 2016. After voting for Zero twice, he voted Trump this time around. Yeehaw!
Check out #kimfused on twitter. Hilarious.
She wants to why he escaped the Progressive Plantation...Racist * itch!!
Black people are not allowed to support MAGA or NRA... their white liberal “owners” forbid it!
Voted for the criminal hillary
Confusion... Mental AND MORAL deficient
That activist author simply has no clue to the amount of black people slowly living the libtard progressive DEMs plantation(s).........no utter clue. The awakening has begun.
“Boston tea party......1773.
Dont Tread on Me!... 1775.
Close enough.” [tet68, post 26]
The snake motif for the American Colonies predates the Boston Tea Party and the Gadsden Flag.
In May 1754, Benjamin Franklin published a woodcut of a snake cut into eight segments, with the caption “JOIN, or DIE.” There were only eight segments because New England was represented as a single segment (it was four colonies at the time), Delaware was lumped in with Pennsylvania, and Georgia was simply left out.
The cartoon was revived in the mid-1760s to urge greater Colonial unity in response to British oppression. Franklin, a serious Anglophile until 1774, initially opposed the use of his image in this way.
Since then, it’s been revived and put to use by a number of political causes (including both sides in the American Civil War), entertainment venues, films, TV shows, and even video games. Suitably redrawn and relabeled.
Great news about your son at least! Thanks for your perspective.
She is no woman and has no clue as to what women are really about
Join or Die...

Don’t Tread on Me
