“If”? I think Rosenstein was pretty clear, he defended the stonewalling as an artifact of their process and said they would continue the same process. Read between the lines, those documents are not coming anytime soon. He’s calling congress’ bluff. The worst they will do is censure him in a meaningless symbolic vote which Rosenstein will laugh off like Eric Holder did. He knows he has nothing to worry about from his lacky Sessions and frankly, even Trump will likely do nothing other than tweet about how disgraceful it is.

If Congress impeaches him, then Trump should FIRE him!
If Congress votes to hold Rosenstein in contempt, that would be time for Trump to step in and order the docs released.
These are the things that could happen to RR.
1. Congress gives him another deadline and says I dare you to cross this one(yet again).
2. Congress holds him in contempt and does nothing else because all they can do is refer it to the DOJ which means that RR can stop his own contempt charge.
3. Congress holds him in contempt and then impeaches him.(can’t happen without democrats)
4. Congress holds him in contempt and then Trump fires him.
There is only a slight difference this time in that the full congress just passed a resolution to get the documents. This would give Trump more cover to fire RR. But democrats and the MSM go crazy and call for Trump’s impeachment 24/7. Claiming that Trump is the one who is obstructing Justice.
You all saw that feces eating grin on his face when they were ‘questioning’ him.
