I don't listen to too much pop music these days but when I do, almost every song has a certain element in it - which is being termed the "Millennial Whoop."
I guess I could try to be the sophisticated musician and describe to you transitions between the fifth and third notes of a major scale and what not but I won't even try. The Millennial Whoop is basically putting a lot of "Wa-oh, wa-oh's" in just about every hit song. But don't take my word for it. Listen to it in the links below:

Pretty much every pop song these days has the same Millennial Whoop element in it.
It's creeping into country music as well (which has actually become the "pop music" of the heartland).
Here is a mash-up of recent country hits that share the same structure and if you listen closely, a few Millennial Whoops.
I admit to loving country pop. So shoot me. I have eclectic music tastes but there is something profoundly pleasing and comforting to listen to the Highway channel on Sirius. I know you all don’t consider that real country but I still like it.
And I have never ever thought about all the whooo hoooos in all the songs. It never bothered me. I am no musician or audio expert. I just like music that makes me feel something. And I don’t like music that annoys me, like overorchestration, harsh metal vocals, rap with no hook or interesting poetry.
Burl Ives did have quite a voice, though.
We sometimes seem to forget that due to the nature of entertainment back in the day, those people we saw in the movies and on TV back when were often multi-talented singers, dancers, comedians, jacks of all trades who had to be able to do it all, and do it well.

I guess jazz or fusion isn’t your thing then either. LOL
Yeah, they DO sound all the same!
Some jazz I really like. I’m not sure exactly what fusion is but I might like it, sure. There are very few genres I don’t like. I can sing Disney songs and I know some African reggae...
Well, yeah. But the stuff millennials listen to is crap.
Not really. Millennials tend to be all over the place musically. Because the industry ruined itself, hasn’t had a platinum record in years, millennials are hitting music from everywhere. The past. Japan. Korea. The stuff the industry is pushing is crap, but nobody listens to it anymore.
I did say “almost”.
I will give your selections a listen when I get home to the workstation.

As a dedicated old fart, I was lucky to have a musician brother 16 years younger to introduce me to 90’s music. 60s rock and roll is the apex of the genre, but to this day, Joe Satriani is my favorite artist of all time. Without a doubt. It is not as if my playlist would be bare without his music, but he certainly dominates my playlist like no other. Not the Beatles, Led Zepplin, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, or any other prolific rock and roll band. So for e at least, thank goodn ss for 90s music and thank the Lord for a baby brother who taught it to me.
It’s not great, but it’s better than rap.
Country needs more songs about tractors, rodeo’s, semi’s, grandpas, cowboys and good dogs.
Fewer about getting drunk.

I had a great time in the Eighties...there were a lot of good parties and music!
One of the high points of that decade for me was a Halloween party that took place in a huge three level barn...
I wore a pink elephant costume I made myself...took a white bedsheet, sewed up what looked like a KKK hood with the eyeholes, sewed two ears onto it and ran a bent coat hanger over the top of my head to hold up the ears on either side...made a trunk out of a tube of sheeting and passed a plastic tube for drinking through the trunk which I then cinched up in segments like an elephant trunk after sewing it on. Bought some pink dye and did the whole thing up pink. Put a Blues Brothers type hat on above, Ray Bans over the eyeholes, tucked the bottom into shirt and tie under a suit jacket, and drank through my trunk all night!
What a wild party. My best friend who went into the USN with me was dressed up like one of the killer bees from SNL, and he got drunk, passed out on the top part of the barn, fell of the side to middle level (no rails) then immediately plummeted to the floor (again no rails). Racked up his knee.
All the rest of us had simply slept in our cars in the freezing cold, and I woke to see my buddy in his silly bumble bee costume limping down the road towards us, his little wings all smashed to one side as if hit by a giant fly swatter!
Another acquaintance tried to drive his car home, drove off the road, threw his keys in the woods and called to cops the next day to say his car was stolen. As the cop had him sign the form, he said “Lying on an accident report is a FELONY. Read it and sign.”
Seemed like the entire Eighties was like that...
