So what was used - a bulldozer? A front end loader? Or an excavator? Lame reporting.

Front loader. The article is from the Daily Mail. Brits who go to Journalism school don't have crummy jobs when they're in school, so they're not exposed to a lot of objects from the real world. Motor cars, aeroplanes, trains, buses, lorries and taxicabs are about their limits of their motor vehicle identification skills. The author, Megan Sheets, (who probably got hired for her abilities between the... never mind) would probably benefit from a heavy equipment identification course Which I'm certain The Mail could hire in a consultant for.

Why? Nothing at all wrong with saying a newspaper reporter is good between the sheets. If they weren't between the sheets, they would be outside of the newspaper, right?
