Photos of a female hunter from Kentucky proudly showing off the results of her dream hunt a dead black giraffe in South Africa have ignited a firestorm across social media after being picked up by a local African media outlet.
White American savage who is partly a Neanderthal comes to Africa and shoot down a very rare black giraffe courtesy of South Africa stupidity, read the June 2018 tweet, posted by Africa Digest. Her name is Tess Thompson Talley. Please share.
The controversial images, which were posted by a Kentucky woman identified as Tess Thompson Talley a year ago, show her standing proudly beside a dead giraffe bull along with the caption: Prayers for my once in a lifetime dream hunt came true today! Spotted this rare black giraffe bull and stalked him for quite a while. I knew it was the one. He was over 18 years old, 4000 lbs. and was blessed to be able to get 2000 lbs. of meat from him.
Trophy hunting is a legal practice in a number of African countries, including South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The giraffe I hunted was the South African sub-species of giraffe. The numbers of this sub-species is actually increasing due, in part, to hunters and conservation efforts paid for in large part by big game hunting. The breed is not rare in any way other than it was very old. Giraffes get darker with age, said Talley, in an email to Fox News.
She points out that the giraffe she killed was 18, too old to breed, and had killed three younger bulls who were able to breed, causing the herds population to decrease. Now, with the older giraffe dead, the younger bulls are able to continue to breed and can increase the population

Throw it like a hand grenade.
If your 10 wasn’t directed at my 6, why in hell did ya post to 6, then imply I didn’t read the article?
You’re a very disingenuous individual.
That sums it up...
Whoo hoo, ran it right up there, huh? Good thing I have a thick skin and pleasant disposition....
Idiot or not !
Perhaps there more elephants or giraffes than the ecosystem can handle?
Yeah, while Africa is considered to be a wild place, there are in fact fewer wild places there than in the continental US....
Meanwhile, people farm to eat, the animals eat what they farm. Who should get what? There are more African elephant now than there were 150 years ago....
Shooting ele within quota benefits the farmers, the ele’s and the local economy- after all, all the meat of the ele (all game) is harvested by the local villagers- often the only meat protein they see.
Anyway
That’s what happens when people make baseless implications and or ask irrelevant questions. #6 had zip to do with diet. And as noted by another poster, this thread is full of those types of responses.
I see how our misunderstanding started, Mr. dragnet2. When I entered the thread, in order to make a comment, I clicked on the last comment which was your #6.
However, I did read your comment and respected your opinion, so I erased your name from the To field and wrote in “All”, meaning in my own mind — to whoever it may concern, whether somebody who’d already commented or someone who entered the thread later and would see my comment.
So I was looking at the top of my comment where it says...
To: All
Not underneath my screen name where it says To 6.
I could also have clicked on #1 and made a comment but I just clicked on the last comment to enable myself to make the comment.
Your fiery reply seemed over the top to me, because I did not direct my comment to your screen name.
...so what makes your opinion/statement relevant or other than baseless? Did she ask you for your opinion? Nah.
Anyway, we all are free to exercise our speech.
What are you talking about? Who’s, “She”?
A misunderstanding? OK. Just curious, who was your #10, “Read the excerpt people”, referring to?
That’s easy. It was directed to anyone who commented without reading the whole excerpt... a rather common situation here.
There was only 9 posts priors to your comment at #10. So you had no one in mind when ya made the comment?
...or to anyone who came along and did not read the excerpt, but might read my comment, where I quoted some crucial facts about the incident, before they made a reply.
But this was the Donald Trump of giraffes. A bully who killed off younger male competitors in his territory.
You should be celebrating this as a stroke of social justice.
+1
This “Blue House Sue” dude has been trolling FR for months.
I only saw 1 - 6 and then wrote my comment. I had no problem with your #6
Of 1 - 5 there where 3 comments that seemed to perhaps not take into account that there are benefits to the herd by removing one animal. So did they read or understand the benefit to the giraffes that they seemed to care about? I don’t know.
My comment “To: All” - covers those 3 and anybody else who may read my comment, now or in the future. The FR archive retains everything since 2001.
Thus I wrote, and quoted for anybody that missed it —

This kill will increase the herd of giraffe...
She points out that the giraffe she killed was 18, too old to breed, and had killed three younger bulls who were able to breed, causing the herds population to decrease.
Now, with the older giraffe dead, the younger bulls are able to continue to breed and can increase the population.
Love may make the world go round but money greases the axle.
I see, so instead of posting to one of those who you felt failed to read the article/except, you posted it to me at #6. Right?
Here's a constructive tip, if ya have a beef or have a comment for a specific poster or group of posters, post to one of them, or one of those your comment is directed at. Don't post to someone who has zip to do with what you're implying about them.
It only makes sense.
Moron... how many times do I have to explain I did not post it to you!@! To make a comment one must click on a previous comment. People here commonly just click on #1 or the last comment of the thread.
I did not want to carry on a conversation with 3 people. I removed your screen name on purpose, and I’ve told you that several times.
You were unacceptably rude to me and you’re either stupid, or tryting to get a reaction. Don’t expect any more replies from me.
