Comcast said Friday that the hours-long interruption of its internet, video and voice services, was caused two separate and unrelated fiber cuts to the company's large network providers. The company is working to restore services.
“We identified two, separate and unrelated fiber cuts to our network backbone providers. Our engineers worked to address the issue immediately and services are now being restored to business and residential internet, video and voice customers. We again apologize to anyone who was impacted.”
The company did not specify which providers were impacted.
A source told CNBC that one of the cuts occurred in CenturyLink's network.

I get Verizon fios internet for about $40 per month ... no tv or phone.
This is been a test, only a test. Had the elites actually decided that you no longer need internet, in a pathetic attempt to protect themselves from the truth, they would have cut all the connections.
Oh man, cleaning up all those escaped bits and bytes on the floor is a pain.
Don't know about that poster but I use cell phone service through T-mobile for all my internet, video streaming and cell phone and data service needs etc and am well pleased. The only alternative I have available is DirecTV and I absolutely refuse to use them again for several reasons the worst being they are owned and operated by AT&T aka the evil spawn of hell himself. Also the reception gets really spotty and piss poor in a moderate to heavy rainfall contrary to what they claim.

Not clear if they actually meant to say “cut” in the literal sense, i.e., a physical break.
And maybe they weren’t really sure when they made the statement. Could have been merely an interuption due to a software glitch or a burned-out transistor.
Anyway, probably best for the company and the gov’t not to release too much info on the matter, because the said info could be useful to potential saboteurs and foreign snoopers.
Smart move IMHO. I cut the cord for commercial TV 12 years ago and cut out cable service 8 years ago and don't miss either a bit now. I just stream what I want via my cell phone service provider now. Members of my family keep moaning and griping about it to me when I go over at their place visiting and I tell to do what I did. Oh for heavens sake no they say, they couldn't bear the thought of going to that extreme. I just say well stop yer griping then and just deal with the commercial TV crap and soft porn broadcasting. LOL
And the big money globalist conglomerates are pushing the world to go cashless. So the next time a backbone provider goes down and you need to buy gas to get somewhere or food for your family you're just SOL. Or if you get on the wrong side of a politically biased corrupt regime in the WH (like Obamas or Killerys) they decide you need to be punished for some reason, oh well SOL again.
As for the cuts...there are still meth heads out there who cut fibers hoping for copper wiring to scrap.

We were paying $100 per month for commercials, 100 Spanish stations, CNN, ESPN, MSNBC... crap!
Of the 200+ stations, we were watching 3 stations and the rest of our favourites are available OTA. Ala carte TV on the internet offers the 3 stations.
I have a couple of HDTV antennas to pick up local broadcasts. The little ones that you hook up to the TV inside the house don't provide much gain. Is that what you are referring to?

Getting rid of Comcast was one of the best internet moves I’ve made, for several reasons, not the least of which is defunding the leftist msm.
