Millennials are much more open to socialism

At a time of growing economic inequality, Millennials are especially falling behind. A recent study by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis found Millennials born in the '80s have a net worth 34% below what was expected. And student debt since 2009 has doubled to $1.4 trillion, contributing to a decline in home ownership among young people, per a Federal Reserve Bank of New York study. For many cash-strapped Millennials in debt, Democratic socialism isn't radical, it's a way to fix a system they believe failed them. And Democratic Socialists of America, an organization Ocasio-Cortez is a member of, lists among its goals things like decreasing the influence of money in politics, and empowering people in the workplace and economy, issues with broad support.

You’re correct. Socialists have concentrated on inculcating our children from Kindergarten to Universities so it’s our fault allowing them to do so.
Who can forget first graders singing the praises of O B A M A.

It isn’t simply maturation due to age.
Eventually most people do the math and see socialism will not produce enough goods to make a prosperous lifestyle for the populace.

Erasing general mathematical competence was one of the primary goals of New Math, No Child Left Behind, and Common Core in succession. All necessary steps to sell global socialism.

Re: Millennials Much More Open To Socialism

That's because the ethnicity of young Americans has radically changed.

That change has been caused by massive LEGAL immigration, and by a declining birth rate for white Americans, which happens everywhere as population segments become more affluent.

Children vote like their parents, but a little more to the Left.

Today, new 18 year old voters are roughly 50% white and 50% non-white.

In the recent past, that number was 70% white and 30% non-white.

Young white millennials vote 55% Republican.

Young non-white millennials vote 80% Democrat.

Oh, she seems happy enough (in a vacuous sort of way) for now. Once her mom stops supporting her and real life hits in the face, though....

More garbage analysis from a garbage network. Most of these socialist wannabes grow up and figure out the Democrats are full of sh*t. I should know, I was in their shoes at one time.

I was a young adult during the Clinton years and thought Bill could do no wrong. After military service, then a career and raising a family, I became woke. I hate the liberal bastards now.

Young folks probably are more “open to socialism.” They have no experience of reading any history. It is simply not taught in the schools and has been taught less and less over the past fifty or more years. If they study no history they do not know what effects systems have had in the past and are ready to believe the wondrous sounding visions of Utopia they hear from hardened communists.

Millennials are on the whole, not very well educated, and not very bright.

One day millenials are voting republican, the next they are socialist. Media can’t seem to figure them out.
