A model is suing a hotel in California after she said she was "massacred" by bed bugs following a 2016 visit.
Sabrina Jales St. Pierre, who has modeled for brands such as Victoria's Secret, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren, alleged in a lawsuit filed June 5 in Riverside County Superior Court that her visit to the Embassy Suites by Hilton Palm Desert in 2016 affected her modeling career.
Brian Virag, St. Pierre's attorney and founder of My Bed Bug Lawyer, Inc., told the Desert Sun that St. Pierre "started noticing the bed bug bites after her first night in the hotel, and eventually she was massacred by bites covering pretty much her entire body."

Funny, you would think the chemicals from the meth lab that was in the room before her would have killed them off.

I cart along a portable blow-up mattress and ignore the beds. It cost about $25.00.
People are picking up these bugs in the gym. They move through the lockers and go home in gym bags.
I cant believe Im the first person on this thread to volunteer to put medications on each and every bite on her body.
At no charge and three times a day.

Will the hotel one is staying at allow that?
“Plenty of room at the Hotel California ...”
Ouch!!!
Bring back DDT.
Yep, my sainted mother would say that to me every night.
That’s a risk you run when visiting a Third World country.
That is really gross!
The bed bug problem is much worse than most people realize. It is kept quiet. You can get bed bugs in a 5 star hotel. If you bring any home with you you will be paying a pest control company every month to treat the problem.
Illegal immigration and the DDT ban certainly have something to do with it.
A coworker of mine got bitten by bed-bugs at a hotel while on a business trip. He was miserable for several days.
Send in a robot to irradiate the place.
I will volunteer to spend all her travel nights in bed with her to make sure she isn’t bitten...Of course I might have to remove my teeth...
I’d like to pretty much cover her entire body.
I NEVER stay at a hotel until I’ve pulled back the bottom sheet and checked the mattress seams for signs of bedbugs. I’ve heard you can use a blacklight to check for them, too.
Yeah. I heard the black light thing.
I do check the mattress too. But I still dont use the sheets. Around 50 years ago I went to a hotel and found 2 dollar bills under the pillow. The tip the cleaner didnt take because they didnt change the sheets.
Our neighbors drove from mid-Florida to NYC and back, they stayed in 4-star hotels. Bedbugs got in their car, on their suitcases, and made a home in their bedroom.
They used bug-bombs and had a pest-control company try to eradicate, but eventually had to tent the whole house and fumigate with the cars in the garage.
