Disney is eager to fire and replace Kathleen Kennedy over her disastrous handling of the Star Wars franchise, reports Grace Randolph of Beyond the Trailer. The left-leaning trades Deadline, the Hollywood Reporter, and Variety, etc. continue to willfully drop the ball when it comes to intelligent and honest reporting on Disneys imploding Star Wars franchise. This means their readers cannot trust them for accurate and objective information. If a single one of these outlets has shown the moral courage to accurately reporting on the fan revolt against the left-wing turn the franchise has taken with Kennedy at the wheel, I missed it.

In her case it worked, probably because people can accept that once in awhile you can have a pretty bad @$$ female, but doing it constantly suspends belief.
I expect that's coming. I think they already did the transexual protagonist in "The Crying Game." Didn't that win a lot of awards? Not sure it had much of an audience though.
Only one needs to hit squarely, but you need a few squads to deflect the CAP and AA.

That reminds me of Sharon Stone in the western The Quick and the Dead from 1995.

Hyperspace torpedoes would travel pretty fast. With accurate targeting, by the time you detect someone coming at you with one, it’s already destroyed you.
Here’s the thing, unless either the writers directly indicate they are supposed to be gay, or otherwise the narrative makes it so obvious that they are gay that you don’t even need word of god to figure that out [and just so we have a clear definition that we can agree on, by “obvious”, I mean something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBTQrNeg7Ow, where the Biker-like guy, Otokosuki, leaves absolutely no room for doubt regarding his sexuality for anyone watching.] we can’t assume they are gay, especially not if journalists just make the innuendo. Journalists have also claimed that Poe Dameron and Finn were gay as well, yet last I checked, Finn’s dating a girl, and even Poe is implied to possibly have a thing going on with Rey by the end of The Last Jedi.
In other words, do not buy into journalist claims of characters being gay or anything else unless it’s either directly backed up by the films or otherwise explicitly stated via word of god. Especially in this day and age where journalists are more likely to just treat their own opinions as facts.
And make no mistake, when I heard that news earlier, I also wasn’t fond of the direction they were going in, but fortunately, I didn’t read anything in there once the film came out other than just their being friends (I read far more hints of Claire Bennet and Gretchen being a lesbian couple in the fourth season of the NBC series Heroes than I ever did with Baze and Cherrut, and believe me, I was NOT happy with the direction that series went when it got to that point, and would have most likely quit the show after the season was over had they not already cancelled it due to poor ratings.).
I know. I was just saying don’t blame Disney for Episodes V-VI and the Prequel Trilogy, though you can blame them for Episodes VII-VIII (and probably IX as well).
Kathleen Kennedy went to my high school with me. She and her twin sister are (were) hot!
Now....meh!
Nowadays the effort is to make it subtle. They will keep their fingers on the pulse of the audience, and they will keep feeding increased dosages as often as they think it is safe to do so.
Perhaps you could get her to serve on yours?
I am but a (not so) humble LCDR, USNR now retired; I did serve at NATO in Germany. But thanks for thinking me qualified!
Eh, my definition of subtle would be more like how JK Rowling out of the blue turned Dumbledore gay, with there not being any indication of him being that in the books (now, that being SAID, the closest there was to an actual hint was when she made one of the movie script doctors change a particular scene where Dumbledore implied that he had a former girlfriend and specifically wrote on the script “He’s gay!”, but that’s not actually the books). Well, that, and maybe that whole mess where they turned Claire Bennet into a lesbian, or at least bisexual, in Volume 4: Redemption in Heroes despite her clearly having an interest in guys in the past and not even being implied to have any sexual attraction to females in the past seasons (it’s certainly not as blatant as the Otokosuki example, or for that matter the General Blue example from the preceding series Dragon Ball, I’ll tell you that much: https://youtu.be/_wyt1Aq6hm8 For the record, the dub doesn’t exactly make it particularly clear [and for good reason, since it’s not exactly something that’s suitable for children], but the Japanese version as well as the manga makes it very clear the reason he’s reacting the way he does to Bulma’s attempt at seducing him is because he’s gay [I personally think that’s stupid because Yamcha also had a similar reaction to what Blue had in an earlier saga and clearly wasn’t gay, but nonetheless...].).
PS, oh, and also the jock from Para-Norman, where for most of the movie he is implied to be straight until dialogue he has with one of the female characters during the ending has him revealing he’s gay by admitting he has a boyfriend regarding an invitation to watch a movie. That’s as subtle as one can get, and they STILL make an explicit mention of their sexuality anyway.
Yes, that was so subtle that I can't recall a hint of it in any of the movies. (I didn't read the books)
If they want to keep it undetectably subtle, i'm okay with that. How many people go around and make a point of informing others of how heterosexual they are? (Yes, I know some gays do it, but that isn't normal.)
Oh, believe me, speaking as someone who’s read the books, there was literally nothing in the books that even remotely implied that Dumbledore liked his loafers light (in fact, even my parents were shocked when they learned of this from JK Rowling when she made it public, not seeing any hint at Dumbledore being gay at all, and they read the books with me, heck, listened to the audio tapes even). Probably the closest thing to a hint was MAYBE the whole Grindenwald subplot in Deathly Hallows, and even THAT could just as easily be Dumbledore simply had respect for the guy and it turned out his respect was misplaced, which even heterosexuals can experience (sort of like Dr. X and Magneto’s initial friendship in the X-Men comics), nothing definitive anyways.
They misspelled Farce four times.
Gonna derail her vagenda, eh?
