I do not recall, but if so, that's just battlefield preparation. This stuffs been going back for years. I suspect Sigorney Weaver was chosen to be the bad-@$$ in "Alien" and "Aliens" because they wanted to push an uber-warrior woman back then.
In her case it worked, probably because people can accept that once in awhile you can have a pretty bad @$$ female, but doing it constantly suspends belief.
