In response to another vanity I saw. Basically, two weeks of a little baking soda each day changed inflammatory states in the body.

Add a teaspoon per gallon of iced tea.
It enhances the flavor!
Try it!

Also, drinking powdered coal does the same thing.

(What Islam and secularism have in common is that they are both death by cults.)
They have shown that when rats or healthy people drink a solution of baking soda
Pity it doesnt make the rats conservative.

It raises the PH of water, and the PH of a body.

Baking soda alkalizes water/liquids.
Alkaline water is basically similar to mountain spring water.

I dunno 'bout that but for years I had terrible reflux. The heartburn pain was really bad. The only thing that would kill the burn was a bit of baking soda dissolved in water. Instant acid neutralization with a giant burp. After nearly a decade of this my new bride thought this seemed like maybe a problem and made me go get checked out. My esophagus was a disaster from the acid and my doctor said "Honestly, this is about the worst I've ever seen without being cancer. I can't figure out why you weren't in here on your hands and knees begging for relief years ago." I didn't tell him I was killing the pain with baking soda.
But the stuff is good for lots of things, I'll say that much.

It raises the PH of water, and the PH of a body. No, it does not raise the pH of the human body. Please see buffer system for more info.

How much is a little?
Apparently, he’s not saying. Another article had this:
“Many people have been asking O’Connor for dosages, and he’s been telling them to put on the brakes. So far, the baking soda solution has only been tested on rodents and people without inflammation.
“It could have potential, but theres no data behind it,” he says. “Whether or not it can have a significant effect we dont know. There’s still more testing to come.”
There’s no advantage to trying it in the meantime, he says. Baking soda has high levels of sodium, which is linked to heart, kidney and other issues.”
They are probably trying to keep in under wraps, until they identify the mechanisms, and create an expensive drug they can patent.

Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) makes the body more alkaline. Cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment.

A little too much and it will give you diarrhea.

I had acid reflux for 20 years after the birth of my second son. I lived on Rolaids all that time, but eventually even they wouldn’t keep it away. Baking soda didn’t help either. I finally asked my family doctor for help. He prescribed Nexium, and referred me to a gastroenterologist. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven once I’d started on the medication. The gastro doctor diagnosed with GERD and Barrett’s esophagus without dysplasia. I am required to have a Gastroscopy at least once a year so they can keep an eye on it. Acid Reflux isn’t anything to fool around with since it can develop into cancer if left unchecked.

That is interesting. About two years ago I had a nasty bout of iritis, an inflammation of the iris. Since then it has recurred about four times. The ophthalmologist said it is caused by an autoimmune response since I didn’t get a hard punch to the eye which is the other possible cause.

Many people, including me, take products such as "Eno" (and many others popular in other countries). Tastes good.
Eno is an over the counter antacid brand, produced by GlaxoSmithKline. Its main ingredients are sodium bicarbonate, and citric acid; it is sometimes used for cooking, too.[1][2]"

I had an extremely long 9cm segment of barrets with low grade dysplasia. For context, a typical segment of Barret's is like 2-3cm. My doctor was worried that with my length segment, there was a good chance I could start towards high-grade dyspasia and theyd miss it because they can only biopsy so much when they did my regular scopes. So she put me into a study for a technique called cryo-ablation where they use liquid nitrogen to freeze / kill the barrett's cells. Took them like four treatments to do it all since they can't hit that long a segment in one shot. But thankfully it worked and I'm free of Barrett's / dyspasia. And thanks to nexium I'm free of heartburn too.
I'm pretty open about my situation since it required me to be out of work a lot while these treatments were going on and you'd be surprised how many people say they have chronic reflux and/or Barrett's too. It's a lot. An epidemic almost, that hardly anyone even knows about, even people who have it don't realize how common it is.
