Soon, you can not only read your mail, you can smell it too, with the U.S. Postal Service launching its first scratch-and-sniff stamps on Wednesday. The stamps could take you back to your childhood, with favorite summertime treat smells including kiwi, watermelon, orange, strawberry and blueberry. The stamps will be including designs of popsicles or ice dream designs. The stamps will be released on Wednesday, June 20, with a special unveiling first at the Thinkery children’s museum in Austin, Texas. The dedication will occur at 6 p.m. and followers of the U.S. Postal Service’s Facebook page can view the ceremony live at that time.

So you don’t just print some off. Is this wise considering the anthrax attack from way back when.

If you scratch the lined-out “forever” the line goes away and the USA gets replaced with UN? ;-)

For heaven’s sake-——just deliver the mail.

I can go to my post office, go inside, drop a piece of mail in the slot——— to the SAME ZIP CODE,and it takes TWO days.

Give me a break.

The USPS site says “Forever” will be there. Maybe there’s some silly law about replicas?

Why?

Are all stamps self-adhesive nowadays? Because otherwise it looks like we are supposed to lick the front.

Sort of a built-in ick factor for the recipient.

What's the meaning of crossing out the "Forever" USA?

So they can't be duplicated from being posted online.

Exactly - around here there’s some policy that all mail gets routed to another city 3 hours away before it can even get out of the state, so if I want to send a BD card or something timely, now I have to allow 5 days just to be safe. So stupid.

As long as there’s not a Hillary version

But that cabbage, urine and fart flavor might actually appeal to her most admirers

I’m surprised they didn’t kick off with Sodomy Celebration Month scratch n’sniff stamps. The fragrant aroma of poo and astroglide.
