The Army goes rolling along...
Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army!! Two of my uncles served overseas in WWII, and my brother served in Vietnam.
Happy birthday to the United States Army.
Happy birthday to the Army!
My son is thinking about pursuing the 4 year ROTC scholarship and seeing if he can become an Army veterinarian, eventually. The more I find out about how they train young people to become good leaders, the more impressed I am. I guess I had thought being in the Army was mostly about being cannon fodder. (Navy bias showing; Dad was a naval officer). I now get to learn more.
Happy Birthday to the US Army, the roughest, toughest and just plain baddest there is! Two of my uncles served in the ETO in WW2. In the 84th. Inf. Div. and the 3rd. Army.
Duty, Honor, Country

D@mn I miss those days!
“The Army goes rolling along”
I spent 32 years in the U.S. Army and we have the worst service song by a country mile.
1) They stole the tune from the “Caisson Song” of the Field Artillery
2) They added inane lyrics to fit that tune that scream “designed by committee”
3) The only reason we have an Army song was bureaucratic envy of the other services back in the 1950s.
Every time they play it I sing the lyrics to the “Caisson Song” (I’m a Field Artilleryman by trade) out of a combination of spite and determination to reclaim stolen property.

America’s SENIOR service.
All others march behind The Army.
Ditto.
Another 32-year vet of the Field Artillery.
Give us back our damned song!
And Happy Birthday to President Trump!
I’m the namesake of an Uncle that served with the 740th Tank Battalion, 8th Armored Division. He was KIA on April 13, 1945.
