There was an engineer here for a few months that quit unexpectedly. He was wanted by the IRS.
Another manager hired left after three days. A bogus identity and a Facebook stalker.

ID thieves should be summarily executed just like a horse thief used to get.Remember the late 80s TV show 'Max Headroom'? In one episode it was mentioned that the society at the time considered credit fraud to be worse than murder. Too many ID thieves get a slap on the wrist when far more is warranted.

Well that’s it folks. Time to celebrate. There’s no better sign that the US is at full employment than stories like this.

Never watched it.
I agree with you that ID thieves get off light if they are ever caught.

Square is an app you can download onto a smart phone or tablet to accept credit card payments. It’s very popular with small businesses and the self employed. When you purchase it they send you a small card swiper that plugs into the headphone jack of your phone/tablet.

RE:”
I pay cash in restaurants after having a prepaid debit card drained. At least it was only $100 and after a hassle I got the money back.
But I learned not to trust cards in restaurants.
And I never use a debit card linked to my checking account” I use a credit card for everything and when I see a charge I dont recognize I call Chase and tell them to remove it, and they do.
Most CCs come with that type of protection.
And they pay cash rewards for charging, cash (the Federal Reserve)doesnt do that,

And you keep on using the same card?
I've had two questionable charges in the last 10 years, and as soon as I called the bank, they cancelled my cards and sent new ones.

I always pay cash at a fast food joint, but I hadn’t worried about restaurants. Maybe I should start.

Think what she would have been doing by the end of the week. By the end of the week, they would have found out she used a fake identity on the job application. Go in, scam a bunch of money, don't show up the next day. Repeat at next place of employment.

She gets right to thieving on the first day. Very nice.

Yes, it’s become quite the cottage industry.

I've had two questionable charges in the last 10 years, and as soon as I called the bank, they cancelled my cards and sent new ones. “ When my Chase was MC they would just take the charges off, happened a few times.
But once it went to Visa they replaced the card when a small unknown charge appeared. I was surprised. But they got me the new card within 24 hours already turned on
So I have one card I only use for the automatic monthly charges so that one wont be interrupted.
