OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (CBS Local) An Oklahoma waitress did not make a good first impression after being arrested for allegedly skimming credit cards on her first day at work.
Police in Oklahoma City say Rachael Tyler was caught on surveillance cameras taking several customer credit cards and swiping them without permission. The brand new waitress was reported by a manager at Twin Peaks restaurant, who caught the suspicious behavior.
She noticed one of the waitresses, she was actually a new waitress. Her first day on the job and had been taking credit cards, and appeared to be swiping them on something maybe in the pocket of her pants, Officer Megan Morgan told KWTV.
The manager claims that the 34-year-old was caught skimming at least four cards, but police were not able to determine the exact amount of information Tyler stole. OKC police added that they learned Tyler was also wanted in connection with white collar crimes in Tulsa.
Clearly, she uses peoples credit cards constantly to ring in payments, Morgan explained. Its a good thing the manager caught this before she could do more damage.
Officers said that its always a good idea to check your credit card statements after visiting a restaurant or bar for unauthorized charges.

Please explain square and card swiper.
There was an engineer here for a few months that quit unexpectedly. He was wanted by the IRS.
Another manager hired left after three days. A bogus identity and a Facebook stalker.
Remember the late 80s TV show 'Max Headroom'? In one episode it was mentioned that the society at the time considered credit fraud to be worse than murder. Too many ID thieves get a slap on the wrist when far more is warranted.
Well that’s it folks. Time to celebrate. There’s no better sign that the US is at full employment than stories like this.
Never watched it.
I agree with you that ID thieves get off light if they are ever caught.
Square is an app you can download onto a smart phone or tablet to accept credit card payments. It’s very popular with small businesses and the self employed. When you purchase it they send you a small card swiper that plugs into the headphone jack of your phone/tablet.
You looking for a ruling?
I use a credit card for everything and when I see a charge I dont recognize I call Chase and tell them to remove it, and they do.
Most CCs come with that type of protection.
And they pay cash rewards for charging, cash (the Federal Reserve)doesnt do that,
No better than people reaching into the tip jar.
I always pay cash at a fast food joint, but I hadn’t worried about restaurants. Maybe I should start.
By the end of the week, they would have found out she used a fake identity on the job application. Go in, scam a bunch of money, don't show up the next day. Repeat at next place of employment.
Now that’s a hard-working gal. She don’t mess around.
She gets right to thieving on the first day. Very nice.
I always take care of my paisanos.
[Throw the book at her. These thieves are no better than those who pick pockets for a living.]
Yes, it’s become quite the cottage industry.
When my Chase was MC they would just take the charges off, happened a few times.
But once it went to Visa they replaced the card when a small unknown charge appeared. I was surprised. But they got me the new card within 24 hours already turned on
So I have one card I only use for the automatic monthly charges so that one wont be interrupted.
She’s got dead eyes...like a doll’s eyes...
. . . from the third turnbuckle.
