IMHO the “God save us” was used because we are very near the cusp of most extreme danger.
In the sense of the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, I get it
(which prayer I think was on a months-ago Q post).

I think Q knows that they/we are facing great danger. They have been trying to inspire courage as any good commander would do, but are acknowledging that it’s in God’s hands.
If we can do nothing else, we should pray. The importance of prayer far exceeds any decoding and analysis and posting we might accomplish here.
