Justifys emergence as the only undefeated Triple Crown champion after Seattle Slew and the 13th horse overall to complete the rare sweep went from a feel-good story to one awash in controversy on Sunday.
Queens native Mike Repole, co-owner of fourth-place Vino Rosso and last-place Noble Indy in the field of 10, hopes Belmont Park stewards will question jockey Florent Geroux about his handling of Restoring Hope, Justifys stablemate, for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert.

One of the NBC commentators asked BAffert Saturday about Restoring Hopes odd run and he said that Restoring Hopes only chance was to try to get out front quickly. (However, Justify was leading from beginning to end.)
The owners of the other horses think thats the reason they lost. Maybe Justify is just a superior horse.
Russians hacked the starting gate.
Sore Loserism
Russians
A nine horse field over a mile and a half does not allow a lot of blocking opportunities. Justify went wire to wire.
Hillary Repole is the exact right new nickname.
According to a recently discovered item, Baffert hired Russian brood mares to dance and pee on the other horse’s straw.
Thus it is called the Stall Dossier.
Both of my brothers were standardbred driver/trainers for years. It was not unusual for drivers to discuss race strategy before post time. This is not considered fixing a race. They knew the horses they had to beat in most races and they would discuss things they could do to give their horses and OWNERS a chance against those horses. Justify did not need any help in this race. Most importantly you can be sure Soros had absolutely no say in anything and was not involved in any pre-race arrangement. If there was any discussion it was between a very small, maybe three person, conversation.
When I saw the stable mate getting out to the lead then slowing down this was my precise thought as an untrained race observer - kinda like what they do in Nascar.
Could be they were all so-so judging by the very slow time.
Complaints and excuses....the last-refuge of a LOSER!
Your rule would have reduced the filed by half.
Correct. Mile and a half is plenty of time for a boxed horse to move outside and pick up the pace.
These people are just complaining. The moderate winning time tells me that none of the field were outstanding horses that could have moved on Justify anyway.
Justify lead wire to wire....unless the other Baffert horse was able to run sideways and block...say four horses at once, this is crap. Any of the other horses, including Vino Rossa, could have taken a wider route or a route on the rail and gone past the other Baffert horse. There were only ten horses in the race for heaven’s sake.
A whiny, sore loser from NYC! What a shock! No doubt a Democrat!
Next, they’ll be claiming that all the horses were held back for Secretariat to win the Belmont by 31 lengths.
That’s the exact reason why Restoring Hope was in there.
According to a recently discovered item, Baffert hired Russian brood mares to dance and pee on the other horses straw.

Seriously, when will I stop cracking up!? I have tears at this image!!
Cheating? Well, Soros is involved so should it be any surprise? Very simple, prove it and void the win.
Im surprised the word collusion didnt come out of the whiny owners mouth. Accept the loss and move on please!
I have alway felt there was something smarmy and Mafia like with Bob Baffert and his reign of “success”.
I’ve never attributed is to luck or skill.
