HBO’s “Real Time” host Bill Maher admitted that he hopes the American economy will crash so that President Donald Trump will be voted out of office.
Maher, along with his panel, discussed the success of the Trump administration’s growing economy, but remained skeptical about how long the prosperity will last.
“I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point, and by the way, I’m hoping for it because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy,” Maher said during the June 8 show. “So please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people but it’s either root for a recession, or you lose your democracy.”

President Trump gets another unhinged leftist moron to show his butt. He is very good at that.
You absolutely don't care about real problems that the average person faces in this country, their difficulties and struggles. All you care about is your ideology (which is a failure), and you will do absolutely anything to achieve your ideology, even if it means suffering and struggles for the vast majority.
This is why you lost the last election.
Watched the show. The whole cast, including Fareed Z, made many claims that the truth could expose easily. (And many of their claims were in fact exposed before this show aired.)
At the end of the show Mayer did identify many things accomplished by Trump, and contrasted these actual wins with left “moral victories” that did not amount to much. (Trump killed the Obamacare mandate, we got the Roseanne show cancelled.)
Over all, the things Trump has not yet accomplished are not due to lack of trying. The next election should give us a chance to replace more legislators who are in league with the never Trumpers and the lefty’s like Mayer.
As an aside, Fareed also knew some of the statements were dead wrong but went along with them in the interest of group unity. Same for the so called Republican Strategist of the group. Every so often we need to watch shows like this to see how the talking points are developed and the facts weaponized against Trump.
FUBM, but I will be fair and say I wished for every single thing that Obama did to be a failure and it rung true. President Trump is a winner and Obama a loser. The truth is revealing itself.

I would suggest that a start be made by he himself becoming unemployed.
This is was selfishness looks like — America and it’s booming economy can go to hell as long as I get my way and have Trump out of office. This is the elitist point of view of “You shut up and listen to me because I’m smart.” Smart people learn from their mistakes but Maher isn’t learning anything. It’s not about wanting good for America but about Maher wanting to being right in spite of everything good. It’s like Satan making Hell his Heaven so he can rule with forceful pride and impunity. It’s something tyrannical and dictatorial — the very thing he projects on Trump.
Would it be OK for me to wish a plane would crash into your studio during your show, killing hundreds of people, so I can get my wish you would go away?
