DAVIE, Fla. - An arm was found inside an alligator that was caught in a Davie lake, sources told Local 10 News.
The body part is believed to be that of a missing woman who disappeared while walking her dogs at the Silver Lakes Rotary Nature Park.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Rob Klepper said evidence from the necropsy indicates that the woman was bitten by the 12-foot, 6-inch gator.
"The FWC believes that the victim is deceased and we will continue recovery efforts on the lake with local authorities," Klepper said.

She was 47 years old. Her husband normally walked the dogs but went out of town. Before he left, he warned her not to walk the dogs at the location where she was killed.
The lake is signed “No Swimming” but some who were interviewed said they wanted signs advising of the presence of alligators.
Clearly she needed Amos Moses to take care of business before walking the dog.

Now the folks around south Louisiana
Said Amos was a hell of a man
He could trap the biggest, the meanest alligator
And just use one hand
That’s all he got left cause the alligator bit it
Left arm gone clean up to the elbow
Arm found inside alligator. Woman believed to be dead.”
What a disarming story.
Shes not dead until she stops complaining.
Everybody said it was a shame . . .
From Sun Sentinal:
A witness who had seen Matsuki with her pets told police that later in the morning, the dogs were barking near the water in the 5600 block of Southwest 52nd Street but she wasnt there. Her dogs wont leave the pond, Engle said Friday when the search began. One of her dogs got bit by the gator.
Victim is named Shizuka Matsuki. I guess they don't have any gators in Japan.
Great song

The problem is not the victim, but that here in Florida they let gators get too big. I’ve seen true monsters (10’-13’) in the swamps and 8 footers in inhabited areas.
Theoretically, the permitted size limit for an inhabited area is small enough that the gator wouldn’t be able to drag somebody into the water or even do serious damage, but the limit is not enforced.
That gator should have been a handbag long ago. But of course the usual freaks come out and whine whenever they discuss removing or even - gasp - killing more gators.
A near 13” alligator is a very big animal.
13 is just a baby. 🦎 Its the 13 gators you gotta watch out for.
This is what happens after 50 years of protective pandering to predatory animal species that inhabits urban areas.
I've only had a handful of gator encounters. Twice in SE Texas and three times in Louisiana. To a gator, everything is food, not a predator - It's how they are wired.
One time in Texas outside of Port Arthur, my work had me using a 14ft jonboat to cross a wide bayou for a land inspection. When returning to the boat one of the other guys noticed a “log” alongside the length of the boat. We picked up some large chunks of wood and tossed them into the water. The log was a gator stalking us for our return into the boat. After a few pieces of wood bounced off the gator it swam off then we hopped into boat to head out.
Meanwhile in California they'll hold a festival to save them...
wait for it...
wait for it...
wait...

I once took my Daughter to Ponce De Leon Springs to swim. After maybe half an hour I decided we should go. She insisted and finally after an hour I pointed out a sign which said there was a possibility of gators in any natural water. As soon as Lesley saw the sign, she was ready to go.
The actual chance of seeing one there is extraordinarily low.
It worked tho.
boo...hiss...!
I agree, and your thought is kind. Thank you for pointing that out. I hope angels caught her up to heaven before she knew what happened. God bless you too.
Thank you, I’ll be here all week...
The Yankees and Californicators moving in next to the sand pits have fits about the wildlife, including the gators.
