Since the late 1970s, the Dallas Cowboys have been known as Americas Team. In light of recent Trump White House statements, however, Dallas might want to consider handing that title over to the Philadelphia Eagles.
"The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow, the White House said in an eleventh-hour statement issued on Monday after learning that only two or three players, owner Jeff Lurie, and mascot Swoop were able (or willing) to meet President Donald Trump, as has become customary for championship teams in the U.S. They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country. The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better."

Trump: The Eagles are invited to be honored at the WH
Eagles: Only 6 guys want to come
Trump: OK the invitation is withdrawn
Eagles: Waaaa! Dictator!
Yeah, I thought so.
She is a MOVIE REVIWER,for heaven’s sake,a movie reviewer.

Y'all may want to head on over that way to FREEP it ...
No, but NBC News continues to prove it’s an anti-American network.
Maggie is from one of those parallel universes—you know, the one where Earth was annihilated by a roving comet!
Just a hunch... If they really were Americas team they’d go to the white house out of respect for the honor regardless of their anti American opinion.
2 players, the mascot and the owner or coach who is an outspoken anti-Trumper. Please tell me who let down the 1000 fans who came? PDJT never mentioned the Eagles in his pro-America remarks. This is a perfect example of fake news even though it is true. Its slant is so extreme as to be purposefully misleading. I wonder how sports TV and radio commentators covered it.
Burned their swag and have not gone back.
Philly may think their championship gives them a bye... well, they quickly forgot who voted Trump in their state. I am sure they are already sold out for the coming year... but that doesn't mean all the fans will show up... and surely, they will be in a shock come the year after.
People who hate Trump can find plenty of football teams with players who hate Trump too, so there's no reason to embrace the Eagles. People who are tired of hearing about Trump and football are more likely to ignore the whole thing than suddenly embrace the Eagles.
The butt hurt is strong in this one.
HURL. The Iggles are Blue America’s Team.
Some chick lecturing us on FB, right!
It remains to be seen what kind of pressure - and by whom it was applied - persuaded the eighty team personnel who had planned to attend the White House gettogether over the weekend to cancel out - by yesterday only the coach Doug Peterson would say publicly that he was “looking forward to the visit” - pretty clearly it was a setup......
For decades I was simply uninterested in football. No animus towards it.
Now I hate the NFL!
Not as much as I hate NBC though.

Bullshit. Only idiots ever used that term.
It's my understanding that the Eagles' front office wanted to embarrass the President by sending a smaller delegation that originally planned. This way, the story would be all the players who didn't show up.
President Trump said, "screw you!" and cancelled the entire event.
The members of the eagles are just a bunch of horrible leftists. I trust many more people stop watching the nfl because of this event.
