Miss America is scrapping its swimsuit competition and will no longer judge contestants based on physical appearance, the organization announced Tuesday.
"We are no longer a pageant," Gretchen Carlson, the first former Miss America to be named chair of the Board of Trustees of the Miss America Organization, said on "GMA." "We are a competition."

If she is not pretty, I think its a dumb thing. Lets face it, Miss America is supposed to be the prettiest women in America. So she is basically a model and spokes women. If she is not pretty nobody cares. And by the way, few people care now. Victoria Secret and Sports Illustrated took prettiest women away from Miss America long time ago.

I still remember when Amos McCoy(The Real McCoys) got his first TV. The old man puts on his thick glasses and watched-—the 1950s beauty pageant bathing suit competition on the round tube.

By no longer judging appearance, they can focus completely on political correctness - and become the model for every other walk of life to transform itself into a similar test of ideological compliance.
So what do the "win"...a one year appearance co-hosting The View? or perhaps an appearance on Ellen or MSNBC?
.…...the muzzies learned many centuries ago, say 20, that putting women in a burka reduced and or eliminated their power. Men could then be able to walk down the street without being totally distracted by some HOT woman!
Maybe this is Gretchen’s and her boards next step. Put all the contestants in burkas! Make em all equal.
Gretchen wielded her power to get to the top and when a man noticed it she sued him and won millions. She’s the ultimate hypocrite.

Miss America was always about beauty, intelligence and talent. Trying to pretend that beauty isn’t part of the competition is ridiculous. So, BEAUTY pageants are another victim of the SJWs. Never mind, we never watched anyway. But the institutions that I grew up with are vanishing at an alarming rate. More’s the pity.
