I just read this article to my cat and he believes she was fully justified.

So. True! I have never owned a female cat. Ever. Always males.

Last year we got two kittens from a neighbor, a male & a female. Living through that first ‘heat’ for the female was ABSOLUTE INSANITY! She wasn’t even 6 months old!

She was ‘fixed’ VERY soon after that!

Well, Mama’s in jail on $100K bond (guessing she doesn’t have that kind of ready cash) and Daddy’s dead...but this cat tends to run away, so s/he hopefully has some Street Smarts that will see it through!

I had a border collie and a fixed female ginger cat. Although they really didn’t schmooze with each other the collie was very protective of the cat especially when outside.
