Charlie Watts, legendary drummer of The Rolling Stones is celebrating his 77th birthday this weekend.
He's preparing for a live show on Tuesday with the boys in Manchester.

I saw them in concert in LA circa 1975. Billy Preston was with them on the piano. Great show.

Let it Bleed is great. The live version of Midnight Rambler (on Hot Rocks) has a good Charlie Watts drumming.

I used to be Ginger Baker’s videographer for his jazz work. That guy is like the Andy Warhol of the music world. Plus, I think he’ll out live all of them.

The Stones were amazing up through Sticky Fingers.After that 99.9% of the stuff they did was boring and predictable...if not worse. "Some Girls" was their last great album.
