It was the signing of one of the most important pieces of legislation for terminally ill patients in decades, and a little boy wanted to hug President Donald Trump for it. When he noticed, the president gave him three hugs back.
It all happened as Trump was about to put his signature upon the “Right to Try” bill, a piece of legislation that allows terminally ill patients to access medications that aren’t yet approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Each and every day I give Thanks to God that we have President Trump.
And just to be clear, I was not on board the Trump Train right up to election day.
Thank God that he has shown me how very wrong I could be.

Thank you laplata - it was every bit worth the wait.
I saw it on The Five.
I’m not going to lie, when I first saw the kid trying to give him a hug, it looked staged. Like someone was orchestrating it... “ok, give the President a hug...” and the kid didn’t know exactly when to do it.
I think I’ve been so jaded about any of these type of PR attempts, that I can’t recognize a genuine moment. Or maybe it was a stunt... who knows.
Maybe staged, but normal and fun.

The child was there with the Gov when he signed
the state of Indiana bill some three years ago.
