I’m not going to lie, when I first saw the kid trying to give him a hug, it looked staged. Like someone was orchestrating it... “ok, give the President a hug...” and the kid didn’t know exactly when to do it.
I think I’ve been so jaded about any of these type of PR attempts, that I can’t recognize a genuine moment. Or maybe it was a stunt... who knows.
Maybe staged, but normal and fun.
The child was there with the Gov when he signed
the state of Indiana bill some three years ago.

If it was staged, the POTUS would have been in on it.
Remember Obama’s Staff handing out Lab Coats to the “Doctors” (wink, wink) who were in the Rose Garden to watch him sign the Obamacare Bill? I’m sure Obama had no idea until he looked at the crowd and saw his favorite Lawyer and Lobbyist Buddies dressed up like Dr. Kildare.
