MILWAUKEE -- Police on the scene of a suspicious package in downtown Milwaukee had to play defense when, out of nowhere, a man rushed to the package and spilled out the contents. The unidentified man was arrested for interfering with members of the Milwaukee County Bomb Squad.

The bomb squad was on the scene at Wisconsin and Plankinton Avenues early on Monday, May 21 for reports of a suspicious package. The investigation shut down that intersection and several nearby blocks in the middle of the morning commute.

The action was captured on camera by several FOX6 News viewers in the area. The video shows, after police had established a perimeter around the suspicious package, a man went under the police tape and emptied the contents of the package onto the roadway. Moments later, several officers tackled the man in the street.

To me the man looked frustrated at all the drama over a simple backpack so he proved that all of the security theater was a sham and that the police were a bunch of fools.

I’m surprised they didn’t kill him for doing that.

The man called their BS. He proved it was BS. There was absolutely no need to bum rush and tackle the guy. A$$holes.

It was like watching a football tackle or TKO. Down goes Frazier!
That guy must have some sort of connection to tamper with evidence at that moment.

Freakin’ hilarious. You got it exactly right. He basically flipped the finger to the security theater. And that obese cop gave him a flying NFL tackle from behind. A total abuse of force. It wasn’t necessary, it was because he was mad at him.

Cops were looking at hours of paid overtime and the “perp” ruined their plans, sending them home early. That would explain the brutal takedown. Follow the money.

No kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth shattering kaboom.

You are exactly right. Amazing that he wasn’t shot dead. The cop could have simply said he believed he was reaching for a detonator on “the bomb”.

He should invoke the Hitlery defense - he didn’t “intend” to do any harm.
