This week marks the release of a new Star Wars movie, focusing on arguably the most loved character in the history of the franchise swashbuckling cosmic bad-boy Han Solo. Everything about Solo: A Star Wars Story suggests it should be steaming into cinemas on the back of a roaring hype train, but thats not so. Compared with the rabid fan anticipation that preceded The Force Awakens in 2015 and last years divisive The Last Jedi, the publicity build-up to Solo is muted, like Chewbacca with a sore throat.

not any more
Hamil doesn’t want my money- he said so!
Star Wars, Star Trek, and the NFL. Left-wing cuck perverted garbage now.
I am concerned that the studio made a white male the hero/protagonist.
Nope. I’m waiting to rent it on blu ray.
Do they really make Han Solo solo cups?
Not really. I guess weve grown apart.
Haven’t been interested in any new Star Wars-ish releases for at least 10 years.
The Star Wars saga has run its course with this long time fan. It’s time this story just rides off into the sunset and die like an old western. It has become just a bit too absurd and ridiculous IMHO. Star Wars lost its cinematic appeal long ago. No more for this long time fan who was around for the very first episode back in 1977. Wife and I waited in line 4 hours to see that epic. It was an adventure for us. Now the newer ones are a big waste of time and money.
Disney bought the Star Wars franchise for, what $4B. Now they’re attempting to recoup their expenses by pumping out a movie every year. It’s too much. It’s over saturating the market to the point where a new Star Wars movie is not a special event.
It also does not help that Kathleen Kennedy of Disney, is really pushing the SJW angle in the new movies. And surprise, surprise, the fans are not interested. There have been great sci-fi movies in the past with, say, a female lead; like Alien or Aliens. They were great movies not because they had a female lead, but they had a female lead who was great and an entertaining plot.
I stopped watching the Star Wars stuff in 1978. Doubtful I’ll resume.
Good grief, don’t give them ideas or they will have a “same silicon marriage” special out by the holidays.
The first one run in the late 70s was enough for me. A goofy little kids movie.
Nope. I am done being sucked into their never ending loop of Star Wars movies.
Im pretty sure C3PO has been out of the closet since the 1977 original.
I’ll never forgive CBS/Paramount for killing Axanar only to give us Star Trek Diversity. Is the new series even still running? Haven’t heard anything about it since it’s initial flop.
No but lando is gay.
The last good one was empire strikes back.
I’m always interested in seeing a Star Wars movie. And like everyone else, I had a bad feeling about this one. But the more I see and read about it, the more I think it will be an enjoyable film. Looking forward to it.
