I just read the Globe while passing through WalMart...the moocher (the Worst Lady”) is up to 236 pounds. The picture needed a wide lens camera. LOL.

I wonder how the made those calculations.

Where are the wild pigs? Millions in Texas, most of the U.S., Australia, and Europe.

Where are the wild cattle? The wild goats? The wild horses?

I call B.S.

Which category is Moochie’s back side in? That could shift things.

Too bad they limited it to mammals. Here are the numbers in millions of tons (wet):

Critter Weight (Ton 106)
Humans 350
Cattle 520
Sheep & Goats 105
Ants 300
Earthworms 7,600
Termites 445

Takes a lot of worms to decompose all the other critters. And at least half of those termites live on my property.

I think I have to change my FR Handle to “Coccolithophore” to match you.

What in the world is that, anyway?

I figure there is far more termites than that. Ever see some of those mounds in Africa?

Where are the wild pigs? Millions in Texas, most of the U.S., Australia, and Europe.

Sure, there are millions of wild pigs...but there are two billion domesticated pigs.

Where are the wild cattle? The wild goats? The wild horses?

I presume there are similar ratios.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/agricultural-and-biological-sciences/coccolithophore They are cool and fascinating, but not as fascinating as fungi.

Pigs, goats, sheep and cattle are categorized under pets and livestock.

Looks like the graphic comes from Vaclav Smils.

He is a serious guy, not an idiot.
