Thanks for the thread. I’ll check back when I get home from work to see who won.
What is the post time?
Thanks for posting. BBL
Its set to go down on Saturday, with a post time of approximately 6:20 p.m. ET.
Television coverage of the race will be carried by NBC, which begins pre-race coverage at 5 p.m. Further pre-race coverage can be found at NBC Sports from 2:30 p.m. Online streaming of the race will be handled by NBC Sports or a streaming service that carries NBC, such as fuboTV.
Justify was not raced as a two-year-old, which is what the aforementioned curse refers to. The last horse to win the Derby having not been raced as a two-year-old was Apollo in 1882. The horse is trained by Bob Baffert, and Mike Smith is the jockey. Justify is 4-0 with over $2 million in career earnings.
Baffert also trained American Pharoah, the 2015 Triple Crown winner. He also has had six of his horses win the Preakness, tied with D. Wayne Lukas in second place all-time.
The other horses to watch are Bravazo, Quip, and Good Magic. The latter of the three has been considered Justifys top competition for the Preakness.
Justify also started seventh in the Derby, though post position is a different thing when it comes to the Preakness, as the field is down from 20 horses to eight."

NBC has it on from 5-7 EDT.
You’re welcome.
BTW, my definite longshot pick here is Lone sailor.
Got off to a poor start in the Derby, then was blocked a couple of times while trying to move up.
With all the rain & flooding, the horses might have to swim this one! :-)
Libloather, feel free to take over this live thread. I may not be able to access a computer very much after 4pm.
Post time is around 6:20.
Thanks, and good luck, all!
2018 PREAKNESS LIVE THREAD PING!
Justify looms as a towering presence. After generating a whopping 114 dominating the Santa Anita Derby, his Speed rating tumbled 12 points in the Kentucky Derby (102 Speed) but its still faster than any number generated by rivals in the last three starts.
Expected wet conditions wont be an issue for Justify. He captured the Kentucky Derby in the slop and registered a 104 BRIS Speed rating winning an allowance on a muddy track at Santa Anita.
Lone Sailor is the only other runner with a triple-digit figure from the last three outings, receiving a 100 for a close second in the Louisiana Derby.
The Tom Amoss-trained late runner brought improving form into the Kentucky Derby but was repeatedly stopped and forced to regain his momentum recording a severely-troubled eighth. Irad Ortiz Jr. will pick up the mount for the Preakness.
Good Magic has not run back to the 105 he earned posting an upset win in the Breeders Cup Juvenile at Del Mar.
The Kentucky Derby runner-up will be the clear second choice in the wagering, but Good Magics Speed ratings are far from overwhelming.

My only doubt with late running longshot Lone Sailor (to finish in the top 3) is will he be ok with the slop being kicked up in his face as he tries to make his way through the pack. Some closers dont seem to mind and still finish well despite.

Thanks.
Sadly, I’ll be in the air at race time.....somewhere between Atlanta and Louisville. And, I can’t bet here in Atlanta.
Oh well..... Pretty hard to make any money on this race.

My suggestions would be reverse exacta with Good Magic on top of Justify And Justify exacta box with Lone Sailor
Justify- Good Magic - Quip
Thanks for having a thread.
We need more racing pings.
