Well, your meme about CNN brought on quite a reaction from two of my hometown friends. They are lovely women, one is a former teacher and the other a classmate. I was so surprised. I can’t figure it out but I think maybe they took the meme to say that those MS13 gang members were exactly like the beautiful children. Not at all how most of friends took it. It’s like they are programmed to call us racist. We had some productive back and forth. They missed the point totally and reacted with emotional diatribe. But hey, I don’t regret. Once it dawned on me why they responded that way I explained it the way it is meant. So tedious. I don’t think they will get it because they are wearing lens filters themselves.

I think you did very well. We are entirely too attached to the outcome sometimes when we make a red pill effort.

It is my belief that all we really can do is plant seeds and let them grow in their own time. We are more persuasive, IMHO, if we bend over backwards to respect free will and right of choice - yet at the same time being the patient gardeners and persistently getting those seeds into the ground.

Yes, best to use the Socratic method ask a few questions. Provide a few what if this is the answer? Peaks the interest and increases receptivity.

I think the tendency is to want to go too far too fast. LOL

“We are entirely too attached to the outcome sometimes when we make a red pill effort.”

I appreciate that and it is true. I have to watch that I am not unkind. But speaking a true idea or fact seems unkind to those who disagree. Meanwhile they feel justified in saying the meme (and by inference anyone who laughed, especially me who posted) is racist. No amount of explanation mattered. Like you said, I planted the seed and lots of people jumped in to support the ideas for truth. I do admire the one person who kept up her view despite almost a barrage of people who pointed out her fallacy. Haha! She was my high school debate coach/speech teacher! I know a lot more than I did then but she learned to be a liberal democrat. She is not unkind until she calls you racist for which she disagreed from her high perch.
