I have changed my mind numerous times about RM. Bad guy, good guy, leveraged bad guy.
Currently, I think he is a good guy who for a long time either saw what was going on and was powerless to stop it or else was an anti-deep state spy gathering info.
At any rate, I think he is fully on board with the Trump plan and we are going to see some good things coming out of his investigation. At the very least, I think he has hired all of HRC’s dirty lawyers so that they are unavailable to defend her due to conflict of interest. I think he is probably gathering info on them as he pretends to let them investigate Trump.

I have to judge Mueller by his actions, which to me are convincingly bad. The Gestapo raid on Manafort and wife, raiding Cohen’s office and the Flynn charges all point to a bad actor. Mueller had to have known the original 302’s said Flynn didn’t lie but he still charged him! If your theory was true, he hired hardened partisans to prevent the Dems from using them, couldn’t he have hired them, without doing all of the above

I believe you are getting close to the truth. My concern is what was Mueller offered? He did some dasturdly things prior to the election and they are his faults.

This is my best guess as well about Mueller.
I think Trump met with him and offered a chance to help right some wrongs, playing a part for a while as it were.
