Had some time to kill before going to bed. Watched a Steven Seagal movie on Netflix. I cant even remember the name. Say what you want about his acting skills (love the graphic of him showing different emotions - and its all the same picture, and he plays the same character in every movie) but hes a financial genius. He puts out one really bad movie a year that goes straight to DVD and/or Netflix and makes him 10 million bucks, then he sits on the porch of his mansion with his beautiful wife thinking about the next movie. You have to respect that.
The Under Siege movies were great.
Which wife? He’s had 4.
I believe the quote is
“Nobody has gone broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.”
Whomever does his hairpieces does a good job.
Im sure they were all hot, so who cares?
I heard the MeToo crowd are about to totally and permanently destroy his career.
He has played:
Italian wise-guys
pissed-off indians
hispanics
average schlubby goyim
He basically plays ANY ethnic group, amazing flexibility.
Guy’s got some really short legs and he runs funny, like a girl. Sort of undermines the image they’re trying to project, him toodling around on those like Fred Flintstone stepping on it.
Love him? Hate him..?
No Seagal thread complete w/o a rapid compendium of wince-inducing arm-breaks:

At the height of his fame he went on the Arsenio Hall show, back in the 90s
He was so smug and arrogant he stumped funny man Arsenio. Was truly awkward and embarrassing to watch Segal in the interview.

I don't think it will work with him.
He runs like he isn’t a human, but some alien who is trying to imitate humans badly. It’s like he has never seen anyone run before and tried to imitate what a paraplegic told him running probably is. It’s so weird I can’t even tell if he was fast or slow in his prime. All I know is you don’t see track stars running like that.
But he does do his own thing pretty well, so there is that. Has even been a villain? He would probably play a really good bad guy in a good movie if given a chance.
Freegards
More bottles of beer then bottles of champagne.
And it is not just a case of money either. Popular things are popular because they are enjoyable and undemanding.
I agree. (”MeToo will prove unable to destroy Seagal.”)
A complex character is an understatement. He’s already been accused of harassing an under age girl. Tremendous skills. Used his first wife’s family to get the skill then dumped her. Bromance with Putin. Works with lawmen. Seems dumb. Liberal/ conservative?
Out for Justice has a great pool hall scene.
Before you can learn to kill, you must learn to heal. Wait, hold on while I kill these guys.
