You mean Mick Fleetwood runs out of money, and they rally for another tour to help him out. The other members are likely set for life financially, especially the three songwriters who receive royalties (Christine, Stevie and Lindsey).

I was a huge KISS fan up until a few years ago when it became obvious Paul Stanley had lost his voice. He and Gene are hardly suffering economically. They have the Rock and Brews Restaurant chain and have other business ventures that keep the money rolling in. Among the older rockers Paul and Gene are smart with their money and are savvy businessmen too. It’s about public adulation for them now!

'This was not something that was really my doing or my choice,' he said in between songs.

Actually it was his choice, the band wanted to tour this year and he wanted to wait until next year because he was working on some individual stuff and they said "see ya".

I’ve often wondered if there will be a ‘Second Generation’ to a lot of these old bands like The Stones and Kiss.

They could hire new, younger personnel to keep the name going and the money flowing................

I think it was at its best when Bob Welch was a member.

Many years ago, Mick Fleetwood said, "FleetwoodMac is not a political band. Never has been and never will be."............

This suggests otherwise:

“Without Lindsay it’s not Fleetwood Mac. More like a tribute band.”

I agree!!

This about my FAVORITE Fleetwood Mac song. Watch Lindsey play all the little licks thru out the song along with the solo. He may have stinkin’ political views, but the boy can REALLY play!!

I really think a lot of these older rock bands like Mac, KISS, Aerosmith, and the Stones need to hang it up for good!

Yeah, the Stones will "hang it up for good" as soon as they stop selling out 80,000 seat stadiums.

Plus, the Stones are unique...

I remember sitting in Art class in high school and my bud says to me:" Ever hear of Fleetwood Mac? I just picked up Bare Trees and its really rockin."

Paul Stanley has talked about letting KISS continue on even without him and Gene. If you think about it they let Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer emulate Ace Frehley’s and Peter Criss’s roles down to the same type of makeup and outfits.

"Fleetwood Mac existed well before Lindsey and it will exist well after Lindsey.............."

There were basically two completely different Fleetwood Mac bands - the original modestly-successful blues-oriented band that included Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, and Danny Kirwin, and the later super-successful pop band with Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie.

It WAS his choice. According to Mick Fleetwood the band wanted to tour and he wouldn’t agree to tour so they decided to go on the road without him.

When you’re 68 it’s time to retire anyway. Stop touring and do infomercials for Time-Life oldies collections.
