Billionaire Tom Steyer bringing case to impeach Trump to Denver

Billionaire Tom Steyer wants to impeach President Donald Trump — and he’s bringing his case to Denver.

Steyer, a Californian who spent millions backing select Democrats in the 2016 elections, will host a town hall at Mile High Station May 16 — part of a series of similar events that his campaign, Need to Impeach, has hosted nationwide since March.

The town halls attempt to “make the patriotic case to Democrats, Independents and Republicans about the need for impeaching Trump,” according to a Wednesday press release from the campaign.

“According to a recent Quinnipiac poll, 70 percent of Democrats support impeaching Trump, yet two of the three Democratic members of Congress representing Colorado — Diana DeGette (Denver) and Ed Perlmutter (Lakewood)— voted against Representative Al Green’s impeachment resolution earlier this year,” the release states, adding that Polis voted in favor of the resolution.

“With every day that goes by, Donald Trump erodes our democracy,” Steyer said in the release. “We need strong leaders in Congress who are not afraid to stand up to him and represent the will of the people who put them in office. Those who condemn Trump but do not back their words with action are enabling the damage he is inflicting on our country.

Nothing like a rich billionaire with time on his hands who wants to remove the President from office because he doesn’t like his policies.

There’s a remedy for that and its called an election. Steyer can’t wait two years to make his case to the voters.

Like a little kid, he wants it now. Yup, for having won the election. Fortunately, its nearly impossible to remove a popular President from office. Let Steyer waste his money on a fools’ errand.

how is it possible that someone this utterly idiotic winds up a billionaire?

by his behaviour, he should have a net thrown over his head and be taken in for treatment (the best mental hospital money can buy)

Steyer, like his mates in Risky Business (Michael Bloomberg and Hank Paulson) want to clean up from the globull warming scam:

19 Apr: Portland Tribune: EARTHTALK: Michael Bloomberg to the Rescue
(EARTHTALK - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT)
by Doug Moss and Roddy Scheer
Dear EarthTalk: Since when did Michael Bloomberg become a great environmentalist?-Jackie Miller, New York, NY

EARTHTALK: Michael Bloomberg was primarily known as a financier and media tycoon long before he became one of the most beloved mayors in New York City history. But what most people still don’t know about Bloomberg is that he is fast becoming one of the world’s great environmentalists through his work to hasten the transition to renewable energy and mitigate the effects of climate change...

In late 2013, Bloomberg teamed up with former U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson and another billionaire environmentalist, TOM STEYER, on Risky Business, an initiative to assess and publicize the economic risks to the U.S. associated with climate change. Their inaugural report identified the “large and unacceptable” economic risks from unmitigated climate change to American businesses and long-term investors, while a follow-up analysis two years later details how cities and states can respond...

It’s no wonder that environmentalists are among those calling for a Bloomberg presidential bid in 2020.

LOL — ‘pardon the interruption of my rant...’

The FR Mods are pretty good at maintaining a healthy, vivacious level of decorum, but it never hurts to self-regulate.

Indeed, we (conservatives) have lost the ability to freely express opinions, facts, humor, objections... but we’re still far ahead of the tyranny our so-called allies inflict on their citizens.

All “hate speech” law must be repealed.

Billionaires should maybe get their own country where they can sit and stew in their wealth, leaving the rest of the world alone.

It seems Steyer believes he has the right and resources to subvert the election process — a dangerous game to play in my opinion.

Just because you can make and have lots of money doesn’t mean that you are sane. Steyer is the PosterBoy for that!

Hoping Staten Island steps up again this November.

There’s not enough of us:(

half a million out of 20 million.

We DID put Rudy over the edge the first time.

But that was many moons ago.

A lot of new immigrants over 20 years who dont vote the way Italians do the majority of the time.

Frankly, I was disappointed with only 57 percent going for Trump.

But part of the island is obama’s folks.

“According to a recent Quinnipiac poll, 70 percent of Democrats support impeaching Trump...

“With every day that goes by, Donald Trump erodes our democracy,” Steyer said in the release....

So let me get this straight: 70 percent of Democrats want an Democratic election overturned to save Democracy?

Impeachment is about high crimes and misdemeanors, not about not liking the results of an election. We have been a year and a half in to Trump's Presidency and the whole time there has been a partisan witch hunt investigation trying to scare up some kind of evidence against him--even raiding his lawyers office, getting wire taps under false pretenses, etc, etc, etc...And this after Trump was told before the election that even if he felt he had a good reason to challenge it, he shouldn't if he lost because that would destroy Democracy.

Democrats should not be called "hypocrites". It would be unfair to run-of-the-mill hypocrites. There needs to be a word for hypocrisy beyond all levels of sanity to describe the democrat party of today.

Is he going to confer with the mayor’s son on a public relations strategy going forward?

Understood, but SI still turned out for Trump.

I’m guessing it was about four years ago... 440 was totally backed up to 278 — was heading to Long Island. Serious delays, too much coffee, had to find a pit stop. I eventually found my way to the Verrazano via Richmond Rd. It was at night, but it was an amazing winding and wooded journey.

What he is doing is far worse than any of the untrue lies about Trump-Russian collusion. I think he should be investigated for criminal subversive behavior towards a duely elected President.
