Travel to the RP on business and stuff, yeah, they have a pageant every week and at every major mall. My favorite is the bikini pageants. Never got tired of them ;)

Every Filipino I came to know drives a Mercedes. Filipino men love golf as well, and I attended a Filipino golf tournament of about 80 players. I think there were 50+ Mercedes parked in the parking lot. It is a status symbol.

Imelda Marcos was a beauty Pageant winner.
One of my best friends was eating at a nice restaurant with his date in Manila. They noticed Marcos eating by herself at a nearby table.
They introduced themselves and she was very friendly. Even posed for pictures with them.
