Firstly, hes known for Rocky, the rags-to-riches movie that made him an overnight sensation. Secondly, hes known for Judge Dredd, and essentially ruining a classic comic book character. I will bet you that if you poll 100 people about what Stallone is known for, you won't get one who says "Judge Dredd".

Goodness. He dares to criticize the most violent Mexican drug cartels. How racist! Mexicans are never violent! < /s >

I actually liked Sly in Judge Dredd. The comic strip was moronic, but the movie was great.

Sue me. For the most part, I like Stallone movies. Reliably entertaining.
I like his latest movies, "The Expendables."

Is this thread about the porn actor from “The Party at Kitty and Stud’s” (1970)? (a.k.a. The Italian Stallion)
Hey, he moved up to “Subway Thug #1 (uncredited)” in Woody Allen’s (now there’s another creep!) “Bananas” in 1971!
Bet he curses IMDB.com every day...

Stallone was a taste I acquired early, then shortly thereafter de-acquired. He is the exact opposite of Dustin Hoffman, who disappears into his roles. Stallone plays the the same character with a predictable plot in every movie he has ever made. See one, you’ve seen them all.

Im hoping that this wont be played in such a way as to make the film feel like a lecture on the need for that wall that a certain politician has been trying to build.
As opposed to a movie like

Lead/copper bullets that spark? Jumping over mortar shrapnel? Outrunning blast fronts? Rockets which corkscrew and still hit the intended target? I can’t wait.

How’s he going to beat down the cartel? Throw tacos at them? For someone who has a security detail advocating gun control, he sure uses alot of firepower in his movies. Is Rambo legally licensed? LOL. I will simply download his flick for free, sticking to my principle of no $$ for liberals.

RAMBO 5 - instead of a machine gun he will instead be carrying a cane or using a walker.
