At no level are their any whistleblowers in either department. If it hadn’t been for Nunes, we would still know nothing. Sessions without redemption is a huge fail. His time is up.

What has people confused is that the visible part of the current battle is intramural - the executive is at war with itself. Nunes and Congress can open that can of worms, but in the general sense (when the executive department is roughly honest), it is okay for the executive to hide prosecution activity from the Congress.
Yep to a big extent. J. Edgar Hoover denied for years that there was such a thing as the Mafia/organized crime. He also seemed to have files that could be used for blackmail or other nefarious deals.
Makes one wonder if at the top it was ever anything other than a cover for the Powerful Government dudes to keep them from justice. I am sure that there are some good agents somewhere though.
And heavily vet any transferring to the new depts.
Imprison a host of managers and certainly the top tiers.
And I almost think that a special prison needs built for the oligarchy's stooges. And built-into it needs to be a self-destruct mechanism such that any attempts at forcefully releasing those prisoners would result in the immediate execution of all of them.
Don't want the oligarchy to break them out and use their devious skills again--against us.
