Students at The George Washington University (GWU) have launched a petition demanding that the school change its offensive mascot, the Colonial.
According to the petition, the use of Colonials, no matter how innocent the intention, is received as extremely offensive by not only students of the University, but the nation and world at large.

I would recommend "Swamp Creature" as the new mascot.

How about the figure of a giant a**hole.
That about fits the student mentality.

Good grief! These people think they can surf this meager little bump of a PC wave forever. I know there’s an end to it; and they are bringing it about.
They should adopt a new mascot: the Carvers. Think about it. The symbol could be a knife slicing some ham.

GW needs to change its mascot into a giant stack of $100 bills. That represents what the university is about more than anything else. Years ago when I went there, they openly bragged about how they were trying to build up their endowment and all the programs they had to try to squeeze money from alumni.

Way back when, I was a first year student there before I got a full scholarship to another university. As a physics major, I found it very good. Oh well, the slime mold has progressed in its goal of destroying formerly good schools.

Do they realize the hate they are building up in normal people?
To: C19fan
People need to start explaining to these children what constitutes offense. If they are not properly educated they will find fear and offense in everything. They should not be left to figure this out themselves. This would be true if the world was sane, but I believe the confusion is deliberate.

As of 2017, GWU has a $1.73 billion endowment.
Q for donors: How do you feel...?

I would expect every student who signs that petition if I were in charge. Too weak to earn a degree.

What about the GW Glitter Bums? Of course, the “homeless” would probably object to use of the term “bums”.

Funny...just a few weeks ago, I was looking for some descriptions and characterizations of the Federal Register (in the context of how enormous it is, and how any of us are unwittingly in violation of any number of laws or statutes due to its gigantic size, and came across these two graphs that showed what an amazing job Donald Trump is doing as President (if you look to the far right on each graph!):
When someone asked me where I got them, and saw it was George Washington University, I was both dismayed and delighted to find they are regarded to be nearly as Leftist as Berkeley, Ithaca, or Harvard!
Dismayed to find another far left college, but delighted because their own information by their own departments supports what people like us think about bureaucracy, and our support of Donald Trump in his endeavors to reduce it!
