Are we talking about the same Taiwanese?

I'm talking about the ones with the world's lowest birthrate. With a replacement birthrate being around 2.1 per woman, Taiwanese ladies are rolling along at 0.9 per each - less than half the rate needed to replace their generation.

I don't think a "fight to the death" is in their future, though national suicide by selfishness appears to be scheduled in the near future.
