Dogwoods and redbuds are blooming here in the Missouri Ozarks. We’ve finally turned the corner on old man winter.
Tomatoes, peppers, lettuce and cukes are all doing well.
Home Depot store in Osage Beach has tomatoes about the same size as we started. They want $15.95 each !
Local veggie and fruit market Farris Fruit has really big tomatoes in pots for $30 each !

Two of my favorites! We can grow the Redbuds (Northern strain of the Eastern), but not the same ‘type’ of Dogwood trees you can have in your zone. We can grow the ‘Pagoda’ type, which are also pretty, but don’t have the fantastic blooms. They bloom, but the flowers are much smaller.
Man, those prices for tomatoes are INSANE! As they say, growing your own food is like printing your own money! ;)
Plus, it tastes so good! :)
That’s astonishing - you could make a fortune just selling starts at just a little under those prices. LOL
