LONDON — What's in a name? Everything, when you're a royal baby.
The arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child on Monday has left the world wondering what the new prince will be called.
If recent history is anything to go by, Kensington Palace may opt to release the new baby’s name on Wednesday. Prince William and the former Kate Middleton made such announcements two days after the births of his siblings, George and Charlotte.

The childless King Richard screwed the pooch when, in his deathbed, he reversed course and designated his brother Prince John as the next king over his nephew Prince Arthur who, being the son of the late Prince Geoffrey (who was an older brother of Prince John), was rightfully next in line (and years before had been proclaimed by King Richard to be the next king).
I can’t wait until The Huffington Report or Salon run a piece on how “the Brits are so Racist that they let an unnamed newborn displace Prince Harry in the line of succession just because he’s going to marry an African-American.”

What, another Louis? Prince William is William Arthur Philip Louis (pronounced in the French style, not as in Lewis), and his eldest son is George Alexander Louis. Is the first name of little Louis Arthur Charles pronounced as it is in French? If so, Prince William better hope that George and Charlotte live long enough to have children or else it will be his fault that England has a “King Louie” someday.
As for Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Merkel, she’s definitely too old to have children, but my biggest concern is that she still has her full-time job as prime minister of Germany.
I think they should name him "Valiant" ... calling him "Prince Valiant" would be a scream!
If Harry is stupid enough to marry an older, divorced, gold-digging slut, he deserves all the grief that will come with it.

That sounds almost as crazy as endorsing Labour in 1974.

He was already an MP for Northern Ireland as an Ulster Unionist by the time of the ‘79 assassination, so he did think there was a valid conspiracy afoot.
His endorsement of Labour in ‘74 had to do with his personal antipathy towards the Conservative Party under Edward Heath (who had sacked him from a Ministerial posting). Heath was an elitist who wanted the UK to be under the thumb of the leftist European Union, a destructive force as we’ve since witnessed. Powell would be quite pleased today to see Brexit occurring, though probably just as wary and disgusted to see people like May as PM. He’d have been a UKIP guy supporting Farage.
