Hillary Clinton took some more jabs at the media on Sunday, blaming negative coverage for playing a role in her loss in 2016.
Clinton made her comments at the Pen America World Voices Festival and said that during her campaign, "the mainstream political coverage was influenced by the right-wing media ecosystem."
She pointed to a "false equivalency" in the media's coverage, originally noted by Harvard University professor Thomas Patterson.
Clinton also said that negative news imparted by election coverage "has had a leveling effect that opens the doors to charlatans."(snip)
Clinton also said that media coverage has been more "straightforward" and "fact-based" since her defeat in 2016.
However, she added that she believes that is because it "reflects an effort to avoid the errors that helped Mr. Trump to the White House."

Harvard is just another university, generally no better than a significant percentage of state schools. It's not a meritocracy, therefore they don't 'select for the best'. They often select for the most unethical - as in fudging or over interpreting/expressing data in order to publish or get funding. It happens in all universities, but bigger egos, the more aggressive, and those more willing to 'really bend the rules' tend to be significantly overrepresented at 'name' universities. Once we have expanded online learning, and people from Harvard and the University of Kansas, AND those who got their degrees from home while working ALL have to take the same post-education testing to prove what they've learned, I absolutely guarantee that the stature of 'name' universities will be dramatically diminished.
That said, you are 100% correct that Hillary lost because she didn’t deserve to be President and was a a lousy candidate, a lousy Senator, a lousy first lady, a lousy SOS, and apparently not a very good attorney to boot. I’m sure she could have done better if her objective wasn’t so driven by her delusions of grandeur.
Hillary is rebuilding her base, democratic elected officials and be in the media every day. She is running. Pass the popcorn
